As much as I hope (and believe) Blue Mage is coming, I don't think the poem is a hint at any new jobs. My interpretation of it is more closely related to the coming conflict with the Garleans and war torn Ala Mihgo with a hint at Rhalgr, deity of Destruction.

Look ye where the sun doth rise,
    See crimson embers, dark'ning skies,

This part might be implying that buildings and cities are burning, blocking out the sun making the skies dark.

Look ye where the sun doth fall,
See azure lost amidst the squall.

Possibly hinting that Rhalgr the destroyer, playing a part in some destruction of the (azure) sea or skies in the form of violent storms. Dunno though, would be awesome if it is intended to be Blue Mage confirmation.
