The Samurai hint seems much more plausible, the old XI vet in me would love to go BLU again but I don't know if the dev team will squeeze out another fan favorite. I'd be impressed if this shirt hinted at TWO new jobs.

It can mean anything and its opposite.
Bitten by spider - blue mage
animal person - beast master
uses string - puppet master
spiders use venom - chemist
director Sam Raimi - samurai
played by Andrew Garfield - Catmancer
spiderman is very athletic - dancer

All of Yoshi's shirts have been pretty straight forward.
Batman - Dark Knight
007 - Machinist
Scarlet Witch - Red Mage
I find it VERY hard to believe he would all of a sudden use a shirt to hint at the name of the director of a movie series.

I think we all know it's the dancer.

Spiderman.. Spider man... New race confirmed?!
I would be so happy if an MMO made a naga, faun or jorogumo playable race, lol. I need half-animal half-man in my life.![]()

This talk of a job that may use whips just reminds me of Ragnarok Online's dancer...
... Which could equip whips.
The following is a question from a Yoshi interview:
F: You wore a Spider-man T-shirt today, and the director for the Spider-man movies is Sam Raimi. So that means…?
Y: Spider-man has a few movies, and there isn’t only one director. (laugh). It might be a “spider webber”. (laugh) I stated earlier that we will implement jobs true to the FF series, so you might argue, “what do you mean “spider webber””. (laugh) Anyways, please do speculate.
Sounds a lot like Puppetmaster again.

How does it sound like puppet master? Just curious because they have never used strings or webs. Puppet Master was only a full fledged job in FFXI and it controlled things remotely with an automaton. Other than that, you can only find very loose (and I mean very loosely) hints of a "puppet master" in 1 or 2 final fantasies. Which brings me to the very quote you posted by Yoshida: "I stated earlier that we will implement jobs true to the FF series..." Puppet master is not true to the series. However, Blue Mage is true to the series. It can be found in nearly every final fantasy title. Even more than Samurai.

I see your point. I personally connected the strings/webs to the Puppetmaster as a possible itteration where it may use strings to attack and manipulate the puppet at the same time. However, Puppetmaster does not feel like an FF classic which most likely makes it less of a candidate. Could it indeed be BLU then? How does it sound like puppet master?
