I'm against any jump potion 100%. I understand this game has an issue keeping new players interested, but there are better ways to solve that problem than giving people a max level job they have no idea how to play inside a world they know nothing about. Sadly, this smells like an easy cash grab so chances are its going to happen no matter what.

It can drop difficulty level even more to accommodate people who see their job for the first time... not that we alredy don't have that.

That is funny. There are many players who already don't perform to the "top of the role standards". Do you initiate vote kicks in every DF group you join already? Someone like you probably doesn't meet those standards either.

Don't you worry, I know what is reqired of a healer quite well. By job standards I mean basic knowledge of what is required of your role and knowledge of all of your skills. I do not kick people who are willing to listen and learn. I would help people learn gladly unless we are in the endgame content which is not the place to start to read your skills. But I would not have patince for a cheater who was to lazy to play a game and now waisting my time. Do you really wish to get into a some high level duty with a tank who has no idea what tank is supposed to do?

Aye, I agree that experience in a job is needed before a free 'insta jump' else you end up with the curse of WoW. However, for those that may be like me that roleplay on multiple characters, this would be a blessing. Leveling three separate characters through MSQ can be pretty brutal.

First job jump potions, but where does it stop? Does it stop there? Or does it go further, by adding more jump/buff items? Purchasable relics? Gear? It's a slippery slope.

The only slippery slope is this argument, I seen the same things being said time and time again on SWTOR, WOW, ESO and other games forums when they added the shop to those games many years ago.
Well, nothing ever came from it, for any of those games, as it wont here.
If you don't like it, you should just say so for the reasons you believe, and don't try and go down this path of what-ifs to try and strengthen your disagreement with it.

It's entitlement because "well, if they didn't learn/play like I had to, the hard way, then they shouldn't be playing at all!"

Please point to me where I said that, because as far as I'm aware, I never made any references to the way that I play this game, or how I play should be the way everyone else plays.

I said I question what this will do to the player base, because there is already a bad/lazy pool of players, and I just don't want there to be even more, and I worry that this potion may (keyword here is MAY) encourage that.

Like I mentioned before, we already have players that get to 60, and have no idea how to play the job, nor do they care. We have players unlocking the 3.0 jobs, not bothering to read tooltips, not bothering to learn their skills, heck, some don't even bother to do their very first job quest. While they aren't the majority, I just question how letting players buy leveling potions, and handing them all of their skills, will improve the quality of the player base. I know that bad and lazy players will continue to be bad and lazy, potion or no potion, but I feel like the job jump potions will encourage more of that. Especially since it seems like there's no Hall of Novice equivalent for those that use them in the Korean version.

I never said that people should have to level the way I do, or play this game how I do. I don't think they should be able to buy their way to 60, because that makes this game P2W, and I don't agree with that. And because it will allow for more P2W items to be placed in the Cash Shop, which a lot of players already hate, and it's nothing more than over-priced glamour items, old event items, minions, and mounts.

And no where did I say that EVERY PERSON who buys a job potion will be, as you said:

I even said that I hope that I was wrong and that this didn't increase the pool of bad/lazy players that we already have. But I never said that EVERYONE buying the potions are stupid or bad or lazy.

Not really trying to strengthen any of my arguments or disagreements with it. Just saying that those are reasons WHY I dislike it, whether they are founded or unfounded "what-ifs."

It's not endgame content, there will be a whole expansion to learn everything and we'll probably have to learn a lot of things too cause of the revamping on skills
