Healer Pet Peeves

I've noticed it far too often lately that my fellow healer does nothing as well. They will be very slow at healing, and run out of MP faster than me (somehow?). It's especially bad when I'm with a SCH, even when I'm running a 4man as a DRG or DRK.

SCHs lately have been super lazy. They stand around, spamming Physick or doing nothing at all. SCH is so boring if you aren't DPSing, and it's been a running trend lately that healers sit on their hands between Cure/Physic/Benefic. It's driving me crazy.

I know parsers are kind of a no-no, but it frustrates me when I look at numbers and see my DPS is 900% that of the other healer, my healing output is only 1% lower, and I was the only one who used Raise those 4 times it was used. Like, really? Wtf are you even doing?

That is my #1 uncharitable thought in duties, usually directed towards the other healer. Low activity and sluggish healing is usually the cause, but ASTs who randomly overwrite your well-placed cards with their crap ones make me not want to be an AST paired with another AST.

My number #2 uncharitable thought, most common when playing healer and especially when playing BLM, is get the hell off of me. You can stay within easy healing range without riding my ass and forcing me to dodge every AoE splat that gets thrown on top of you.

@your first point: I have been getting excessively frustrated as a tank and healer when the healer/co-healer is doing little to nothing. And it's coming to the point that I almost refuse to roulette unless i or another FC member(usually Estelle) is the healer, or even both healers. But this isn't always the case and I always end up with something bad.

An example would be when the two of us went to do level roulette with another FC member. I was pally, Estelle was DRG and the FC member was a BRD. We got into stone vigil. Healer was a SCH. She never dpsed and she healed so slow that we wiped on a slightly large pull I attempted because she wasn't doing anything but healing.

Or the co-healer I had in a raid who blamed me for not enough healing going out on ravana normal. He died four times and I raised a total of eight times before we ultimately wiped.

@second point: I despise anyone who stacks on the healer as if to say "look here in slightly hurt. Heal me." Especially since it usually means they are too focused on sticking to the healer that they ignore mechanics (Ramuh anyone?).

Ooooooh, so many pet peeves that others have mentioned here. For me, overriding Protect is one thing, it's a quick spell and the benefits are the same across all the classes so at this point I don't really care, but when another WHM deliberately overrides my Stone Skin II when they SEE ME IN THE ACT OF CASTING IT. Or right after I just did a Swiftcast + Stoneskin II. It's one thing if they didn't see it in time to break the cast but it's another thing if they're deliberately casting it. Another is when the other healer decides without communicating with you that you're going to be solo healing your alliance in a new 24 dungeon that wasn't even two months old. Fyi, Scholar that was using Broil non-stop with Selene out. During Cuchulainn. Still a little salty

Astrologians that overwrite my cards with sucky ones. Unless it's noticeably better, don't touch my f-ing cards.
When the white mage overwrites my Stoneskin. Protect is fast but Stoneskin isn't and it's the reason why I don't using Swiftcast when I'm about to.
Healers who do nothing but dps when the party is clearly dying.
That one bard that doesn't play Mage's Ballad when I just got raised.
When DPS *cough* BLM *cough* don't get out of fatal AoE's. It's one thing to take damage to the face when you know that it won't hurt you bad (I will even do a little shield just so you don't need to move), but when an AoE is infamous for one-shotting, you better move or you will be taking a dirt nap.
When tanks feel they can act like a fool because they are leading the party. Listen tanks and dps, we healers need you guys just as much as you need us.

at the start of a duty if i see my co-healer has an aoe buff, i always insist they use it 1st just so i don't have to worry about the overwriting me. along the same lines is when i use a single target buff, like an extended/enhanced ewer, and the other ast overwrites it with an aoe it triggers me so hard.

Most of it has been posted but nothing can top of PLD overwritten my protect spell IMMEDIATELY after i cast one, i know it has no difference but seriously?

Several things that irritate me....
- Dps/tank in party give me a buck load of common/useless tips as healer nonstop just because "trust me iam an expert"
- range dps going very far far away from healer and other member, basically out of AOE heal range just because they "feel safer" that way
- party who stand still even in "red" zone and when i ask why, replied with "then heal, thats your job" really?

Unless the information they are relay to me is useful, I tend to ignore people like that. I've rarely run into them though.

If someone keeps standing in the bad I give up healing them, especially if they tell me to heal them.

As my main is whm, my pet peeve involves other healers who will cast buffs (protect, stoneskin, etc.) when players are still in a cutscene, only to cast them again once the duty ring drops.

To be fair i make a mini game out of that. the "let's see if I can finish casting right after they finish watching the cutscene" mini game.

Mini pet peeves: Having WHM starting with protect when I'm playing Sch. Please.. start with Stoneskin II, I've got Protect too.

Major pet peeves: Lately for some reason people are loving to scatter before a fight even begins (I can understand that in A9), especially the tank that i'm trying to use Deploy Tactics on. It has gotten so bad to the point it makes me as salty as when tanks do not engage a boss after i got a crit shield + eye for an eye + deployed it and they sit there waiting for the shield to wear off.

Specific pet peeve: Having a DPS bitch at me for not esunaing him while in Ravana Ex for Wondrous Tails, when EVERY SINGLE DPS decided to hit his shields and get slowed. That was the only day I have ever wanted Selene in my life so badly (was playing WHM).
