Healer Pet Peeves

As someone who mains SMN and knows how easy it is to move your pet or cast a quick sustain to keep it alive, my biggest pet peeve while healing is other SMNs telling me it's my job to basically baby sit their pet and keep it alive while it gets cleaved by literally everything.

• Mainly when running FATEs, tanks - and to a lesser extent DPSers - that don't pick up monsters that are attacking me, despite the fact that a). I'm keeping them healed up, and b). I'm actually bringing the monsters right in front of them. People like this need to have the "do not disturb" icon turned on so I'll know that they don't want to be team players and to not bother with them.

• Inconsistent tanks, and to a lesser extent DPSers. I like to either constantly heal the tank or constantly do DPS (as a side note, I'd rather tanks not use cooldowns at all than to use them randomly). I like them to either pull one group at a time or go all out boss-to-boss pulling. Tanks with whimsy get under my skin, since I don't know what he's going to do next. Really throws me off my rhythm.

• Technically my own fault, but healing with Cleric Stance turned on. My Cleric Stance is on a skillbar macro (one skillbar is for healing, the other is for DPSing), and there's situations where I have to heal someone immediately, causing me to have to switch skillbars while Cleric Stance is still on cooldown. And I often don't notice soon enough, or even worse, another player has to let me know I have it turned on (ideally yeah, I should be able to tell by my weak heals that Cleric Stance is turned on, but something else might be distracting me at the time too. I can't be everywhere at once).

People not moving out of AoEs, as if the AoE indicators were never even there in the first place.

I've noticed recently when paired with other ASTs (I'm usually in Noct, so they're in Diurnal) where the Diurnal AST thinks they don't need to use any of their HoTs for whatever reason, and our tank is the MT in 24-mans. Shields are beautiful. I love shields. But it is not economical for me to stand there and have to heal the MT every couple of GCDs instead of contributing to DPS because you can't be arsed to give them a Regen Aspected Benefic.

Also. Again. Other ASTs overwriting my cards. Please coordinate with me because I always try to coordinate with you!!! If I see us both holding an Expanded Balance, I will either say "I will Balance first" or "Would you like to Balance first". Coordinate with me! Or at the very least pay attention to the party list!!

I seriously had an AST in Dun overwrite nearly every one of my cards during the first boss. When I said something, their response was "I only have it set to display effects inflicted by me." That does not hide buffs on your party members. And if for some reason you have your party list off or your Status Effects off, you should probably turn them on. Especially if you plan to run as AST because there's a chance you'll get grouped with a second one, and it's annoying always having cards overwritten because you can't be bothered to check buffs. That was probably a BS excuse anyways because they told me I could use my Expanded Balance first on Scathach. If you can't see other people's buffs, how did you know I even had an Expanded Balance unless you were eyeballing me the entire time.

SCHs that seem to forget what the skill "Leeches" does, or the fact that it even exists, and leave all the Esuna-ing to me

And co-healers that ignore my raise macro (which I have set to go off, then wait 2 seconds before Swiftcast and the Raise go out so that they see it, and it makes a sound effect), and continue to Raise the same target as me. Not just once, but every single time. It's even more annoying when I'm almost through my hard-cast Raise, and they decide to Swiftcast Raise the same person right as my cast finishes. -____-
