I've been noticing a trend lately. I don't know if its new or if I've just been unlucky but I have encountered quite a few of extra, extra lazy healers lately. As in ones that not only don't DPS, but they don't heal anyone besides themselves and the main-tank and they never cast Esuna/Exalted/Leeches on anyone ever. It is, quite frankly, infuriating.
There has also been a slew of CS healers. Healers who have CS on permanently and only heal. And then when you try to explain to them that CS reduces their healing power they snap with "well you haven't died" or "I'll play how I want" and then you tell them that they aren't even DPSing so its incredibly pointless to even have it on in the first place... ugh.
What the hell? Lmao, well, I can tell you for sure that that person had no idea what they were talking about. I'm glad that you didn't take our advice wrongly, though. It speaks very highly of you!tried out delaying when it was applied and someone yelled at me for not having regen up as we scattered :/ Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Of course, I think they were one of the DPS who go off into Siberia the second the countdown goes to 0 so maybe that's part of it.
I also absolutely despise ranged DPS who hang out super far away from the center or from the boss in 24-mans. Specially when they then berate you from not healing them in time after they also stood in stupid mechanics. The only time I think it's respectable is during the add phase in Forgall, since they might be taking one of the bleeding pillars while getting unluckily hit by Void Blood. But hey, one exception out of the entire game.
As an AST main my biggest issue has to be other AST that don't pay attention to MY buffs and overwrite them constantly. It's so annoying when I toss a buff on someone, extend it with time dilation then 5 seconds later the other guy decides to put something else on them.
Then of course there's the typical DPS who stand in everything then get angry when they die.
My pet peeve is when the other healer in the raid acts like the latter.

Paladins casting stoneskin. Getting paired with another AST and for some reason aoe a spire or ewer, overwriting my enhanced balance on the BLM.
When I run Pally I cast Stoneskin on myself from time to time. Only during 4-man content and only when I want it. If I am with a SCH I assume they don't have it and will apply it myself. I can understand not liking Paladins who use it during fights (why would anyone even do that??), per-stone every pull, or try to stone skin everyone all the time. But when I play Pally, I have Stoneskin and if I feel like I want it on I'm going to put it on. Especially if no one else is going to do it.
I've been seeing a massive influx of healers who just stand around doing nothing lately, and it kind of angers me but it's also kinda sad. Even when I get paired with another Scholar, of all jobs, they simply put up DoTs during the first 3 GCDs of the fight and never DPS'd again. I'm not one to berate people for the playstyles they have, so I just keep my opinions to myself, but man, seeing them not use 50% of their toolkit and just sit around with like 20% of activity during the entire fight is frustrating.
I've been trying to get Prototype gear for my SMN alt, and out of the 8-ish runs I've done for the night, I haven't gotten a single co-healer that puts out any DPS at all. This is me atm
