Could you explain what makes that opener better than Shasta's/Firana's? I'm always looking to improve, so if you opener is better, I would love to try and understand why(I have a WAR and MCH in my raid group).

Ok, thanksI shall give it a try. Are any particular times you would use one of the openers you posted over the other? (I.e. co0 instead of co3).
Just a quick question, is the openers you posted still as effective as without Pot in the same order (obviously taking into account the less DPS due to lack of Pot)?
I'm asking because for example, Shasta opener is different based on if you use Pot or not.

If i'm not completly wrong (and if its mr happys fault because i have it from his guideHello, i've been trying to down the A12S Dummy, but it seems i don't get past 5%.
Stats:
- ilvl251
- Crit 894
- Det 661
- SkS 736
I do this:
Th reason i'm not putting the dots between TA is because then i'd lose the Duality Aeolian Edge while TA is still up, i've tried to apply the dots before doing TA but it results in lower burst.
I've seen video of people clearing this dummy but they have 1200 crit (i ignore people who use food and pot buffs because i believe the dummies should be cleared without them and that's what i'm aiming for), 1275 crit in one of the cases to be precise, which is a difference of 107 DEX, i don't know if this is the reason.
The rotation i do after the opener is pretty simple, i prioritize Dancing Edge > Shadow Fang > Mutilate, use armor crush to keep Suiton up if bellow 40s, unless i have Buffs up in which case i use Aeolean Edge instead.
Am i missing something besides the opener possibly not being optimal? If so can someone explain why?
Thanks.) the TA doesn't count instantly after applying thats why most ppl use kassatsu before using the next gcd.
Hey guys =)
Just played around with the BiS for Ninja a little and then thought i could check here a bit and ask around.
Is it really worth it to push the crit up to 1300+? cause with my build i only have 1266 crit, but my overall statweights are higher.
So whats better?
Btw. this would be my build http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/WYIT
What weights are you using? The ariyala ones aren't updated as far as I know and neither are the front page ones.Hey guys =)

Thanks, i'll try it out
Even with the wrong stats weights, yours in only higher because you're using a ring that's 10 ilvls above (extra DEX) but still missing 100 crit.Hey guys =)

Crit doesn't just increase crit chance but also scales crit damage: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme...mage_formulae/
Example: I crit with TA for around 5.7k and i have 896 Crit, i see people with 1275 crit hitting for 8k with TA, so you can see the difference.
Obviously the higher the WD and DEX the higher the crit too.

That is a very bad example, you're making the damage increase even though you didn't mean it seem way too large. The difference between 900 and 1300 crit is about 5.7%. So a better example would be 5.7k at 900 crit and 6.0k at 1300 crit.

It's not a bad example.
I suppose the 8k crit was with Pot and full buffs, not sure.
As for 6k that's low for 1300 crit.

6.5K without any skill buff or pot (food only), 1275 crit.
This impact you speak of has already been factored in when Dervy calculated the stat weightsIt's not a bad example.
