Extreme Primal fights typically drop weapons, which when the fight first comes out, are the best until you can get Tome/Savage weaponry (even then, they are great for gearing up alt classes or using them for glamour) there are also low chance drops such as mounts, crafting mats and orchestrion rolls.

OT: I myself didn't find the fight that hard, its much easier with friends you have on voice chat (had a friend who called out where to move for Execution and the tilts) Healing is relatively easy due to her hard hitting attacks being very telegraphed. If you are having trouble with the tank buster, remember that it needs to be swapped. I messed up a few times too until we got a patient group who persisted for a clear (thank you Raid Finder) and I look forward to farming it soon, yeah I am pretty late to the party, but I like to take things slow.

Sophia is Shiva 3.0: Both fights were awesome, nice to farm and easier than other primals before. While Thordan is one of the most difficult fight, Sophia is more forgiving:

• If you die in the 2nd phase, you re still alive (kinda)
• If you fall down, you can still get a raise
• If someone fails to one mechanic, it wont wipe the group (for the most part)
• The phases and mechanics are easy enough
• With a skilled tank and healer, solo-tank and solo-heal are possible
• Not a real DPS-check here

Sure, like any other primal fight, you can mess up things. But many mistakes can be fixed by other players. I m a more casual player, but I managed to get the kill with the second partyfinder-random-group. I ve expected something more difficult.

Sophia is a quick way to get a significantly better weapon.

Like Lunar said. you can get ilv255 weps, which is the best you can get at the moment, outside of doing Alexander savage. If you can get some farm parties, you can get ilv255 wep for all jobs, in a day or few; compared to it taking 7 weeks to get Alexandrian Gears, to buy micro-tome to buy ilv 260 shire weapon (or you can get micro-tomes from A10S. you can also get upgrade material from A10S to make Shire wep->ilv270. outside of Savage, you can't make 270 wep, yet)
But at the moment, sophia weapon is basically a requirement for starting savage content (at least for DPS jobs)
