Tbh, if whatever group doing it still see these mechanics, the DPS should be utterly ashamed of themselves for being so low. It's a 3.0 fight and we're on 3.4 with almost 100 i'lvl higher than the required ilvl.


And yeah compared to the time i spent trying to clear Niddhog and Seph ( around 2 weeks of 8hours per day with multiple PFs ) , Sophia is a joke. Only took me like 4 hours across 2 PFs.

I dunno why people are saying Bismark is easier than Sophia. I guess it was easier to outgear the fight compared to Sophia, but if you did it at the "appropriate" ilevel, it was pretty hard. Especially pugging it. People got blasted off the edge all the time, and finding pubs who did the required DPS was a struggle.

With Sophia at least you just kinda run with the group. Bismark you had to know the fight and especially the weather.

As others have said, the green aura is the visual cue that she is about to use the tank buster . How to survive it? Well tanks do have cds which take some amount of damage and for even more damage nerf from it, the healer or summoner can cast virus which takes 15% .
My 2 cents on the matter.
If you think this is hard, try Thordan ex and then yes you can rant, but for Sophia Ex, well try to speak with the other party members to use the information gained from this tread.

The zero healing check/solo healable part bothers me the most. Almost everything in this game is solo healable. Now that I switched to AST and became the "main healer" in my group, this bothers me less. But as a SCH I was basically a DPS that shielded the group/tanks sometimes. Even when AS3 was the "big stop gap" for groups, I cleared it DPSing 90% of the time(because it was basically just a massive DPS check). I wonder if the devs will ever tune a EX for two healers, or if they'll keep nerfing the healing and DPS requirements.

As people have said, this fight is generally considered quite simple. I can see why you find it difficult since it's your first extreme primal, but you seriously only need time to get more used to mechanic heavy fights and I'm sure you'll be more comfortable and enthusiastic.

This right here I agree. I had that mentality when I tried my first extreme fight; I was like, "HOLY HYDAELYN, this sh*t is hard as f***"; however after practicing, gaining experience, and with a little help from watching video guides, I finally beat them and it's ezpz from that point. YOU GOT THIS! Just pray you get into a good group that knows the fight - meaning tanks know how to tank, healers know how to heal, and dps know how to hit and the entire team knows how to dodge (oh and you gotta have strong gear too.)

Extreme Primal fights typically drop weapons, which when the fight first comes out, are the best until you can get Tome/Savage weaponry (even then, they are great for gearing up alt classes or using them for glamour) there are also low chance drops such as mounts, crafting mats and orchestrion rolls.

OT: I myself didn't find the fight that hard, its much easier with friends you have on voice chat (had a friend who called out where to move for Execution and the tilts) Healing is relatively easy due to her hard hitting attacks being very telegraphed. If you are having trouble with the tank buster, remember that it needs to be swapped. I messed up a few times too until we got a patient group who persisted for a clear (thank you Raid Finder) and I look forward to farming it soon, yeah I am pretty late to the party, but I like to take things slow.
