Gaius and Nael had very simple color schemes (as did all of Gaius' generals), so I'm wondering if Zenos has altered his attire to match the nation he currently rules? That said, Nael and Gaius both considered Eorzeans to be savages, and so they would never lower themselves to adopt their customs or attire. Given how cruel we've heard that Zenos is, I'm curious as to what his reason would be for adapting their dress (which, given how colorful the 3.x MNK specific gear is, his sash seems Ala Mhigan inspired).
He's a High Legatus that outranks Nael and Gaius, going by his Yae title, so maybe that's the reason for the more colorful attire.
