I'm thinking RDM and BLU, both as DPS or Healer / DPS are going to be the new jobs. Reason being the translator made mention of Captain America: Civil War with that Scarlet Witch shirt on. The shirt points to RDM. Looking at Civil War you've got Tony Stark in his Iron man suit that is mostly red and then you've got cap who is in mostly BLU. Last years event in the secret room showed them also fighting which would be coming out between the two as well. I get the feeling that later on in the expansion cycle, if everything is going well they may then drop SAM.

I don't believe that Dancer was in the trailer, but rather is just a monk. All of their moves are monk related and look comparable to the styles we've already seen. That and I don't see a dancer trading blows bare handed with a Monk that causes the very earth to shake from a statue.

Do you mean Ishgard housing? That was never confirmed to be added in 3.x. Besides, they didn't go into detail on what the new housing area is, as it'd spoil the upcoming MSQ.
Why do you need to see the exact change to the inventory? It's obviously a feature that they're still working on, they just wanted to confirm that it's actually going to happen in 4.0.

The image about the amount of years said two decades, not almost 20 years. They probably went for simplicity instead of writing "two decades and x years"
There's also the lore panel on Saturday, so it might be mentioned then.

One of the abilities shown was Feint, the most useless ability for DRGs. In my years of maining a DRG, I've never had a reason to use that ability.

Well like I already wrote in another thread I liked the landscape in the trailer and the fighting scene. I am a little sad that derplander looks like that now. People change and get older but even in HW you knew exactly who that male is and yet here I did kinda needed some time to get that he is the WoL. If they don't change much of the ingame aesthetic than the CGI derplander will look quite different to the ingame model. I also did not get much of a feeling that this was FF14. If it wasn't for the chocobo at the end I could have mistook this for a different series.

At the beginning I also thought that this would be Yda but now I really hope that she is someone else. It would be way too obvious right now and she does not feel much like Yda anyway. (Her clothing style, her movement..)

Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

Yda has a sister; it could be her.

Also, let's not jump the gun(blade) on the big bad looking Samurai-like. While it could certainly still be one of the new jobs, I'm not putting too much stock in this guy's appearance being a hint at it, nor what role it will fill if it is in the game. Antagonist NPCs have never been job hints before.

Hey, remember that smug Lalafell Yellowjacket chick who antagonized the Rogues' Guild for nearly the entire 1-30 quest? And called guns a much more civilized weapon than daggers? Yeeeeeeah...

(Granted she ended up not being the ultimate villain of the story. Still antagonistic up until nearly the very end though.)

Admittedly, Samurai is just wishful thinking for now. Red Mage is all but confirmed; anything else is only at the "Well, maybe..." stage.

Well, I meant large-scale enemies like Gaius :P
We didn't get a gunblade job. And while this new guy does wield a Katana-like blade, his weird....multi-sheath-probably-also-gun-related-thing is definitely not something the WoL will get his hands on.

Well, I'm not expecting to get the gunsheath like yae Galvus has. That's just asking for too much. But it was stated that Samurai was in the running for 3.0's tank class, and the only reason they didn't add it was because they had introduced NIN in 2.4 and didn't want to put in another Eastern cultured Job so soon after that. All we need is some Doman refugees to come and drop it on us, really.

Anyway, what struck me about yae Galvus wasn't his weapon, but his overall design. All of the legates we've seen have had very clean, streamlined designs. His is rather asymmetrical in comparison; he's got that sash and big-ass gunsheath on opposite sides. It's a different look for a legate. Curious.

Iunno.. you still see the man standing with a pistol right outside the coral tower, aside from the one wielding an axe, there was the one npc in the rogue questline, wielding both a cutlass and a gun, then the same with the mch questline with the roegadyn that seems to change from using mch skills and gladiator skills based on the needs of the mission. Sure that doesn't really say much for what could be suggested, I mean we still have the single pistol users at the basement of the "marauder's guild", a place that still bears the flag at the staircase for Musketeers. Between a whm housing a city with whms, a gld housing a city with the gld guild, and arena, and really, the whole idea of pirates only being ax swinging marauders... really seems to be missing the mark.

To be fair I'm still waiting for the item increase discussed there, but not holding my breath on it either.

I mean, sure, I remember when yoshi mentioned, jokingly, who would want to live in a house where dragons land on your roof... then ya also gotta realize... we've kinda made peace with the beasts, at least the more bigger named ones... Still doesn't sound so bad...

Eh... you're right... the slow effect to it, much like with shadow flare, doesn't really lend itself to useful given most enemies don't truly show an effect from it, but it kind of feels more as if this lends itself more to a retooling of mechanics needed as opposed to just chopping off skills... granted, shadow flare just has some decent damage.
