For example, on FFLogs, there are more parse clears of Creator Savage with Paladins (9,435) than Dark Knights (6,239), https://www.fflogs.com/statistics/13/#class=Tanks Note that Warriors are at 15k :\
For A9S specifically, PLD = 2.9k, DRK = 1.5k, WAR = 4.1k. So, if anything, Paladin seems more desired.

For DPS on A9S it seems pretty even:
Summoner 2,032
Black Mage 2,594
Monk 2,298
Ninja 2,887
Dragoon 3,362
Machinist 2,104
Bard 2,320
Yes but that setup with PLD and/or BRD isn't a target for World First runs, which was the point of my comment despite not mentioning it.

Even for the highest DPS setups BRD and PLD have to be left out, and this is the issue that needs fixing, PLD needs to do more DPS and BRD needs an increase of DPS or better utility.

Here's an example, MNK isn't part of the Highest possible party DPS despite having the highest single target DPS on the game, NIN and DRG both provide utility that surpasses what would be accomplished if either DRG or NIN was replaced by MNK, i'm not saying it doesn't work, it surely does, it's just that isn't as viable, and on early phases were people aren't well geared yet the most the DPS the better.

MCH has better DPS and Utility than BRD does for party DPS, that's why i said BRD is left out, i just didn't mention for what (run at World First).

I've quit soon after 3.3 came out, came back now to secure my house, will try out PotD and maybe do weekly tomes, anyway since i quit the setup seems to be the same: DRK, WAR, WHM/AST, SCH, NIN, DRG, BLM/SMN and MCH

PLD and BRD are still left out, again they work, it's just that it's not as effective, so people are inclined to pick the "better" jobs.
