Even if this is the case, I do think it is very fishy that a team plays one game and then ceases queuing. It is a practice notoriously linked to win traders/boosters. If the players on the withdrawing side actually wanted to play and improve, they would just accept the queue.

Sure, but if your team got steam rolled over in 30 seconds and you KNEW you'd just be playing the same team over and over again because no one else is in queue I don't think most people would queue, whether they were being dishonest or not. It's not fun or interesting for the losing team, and they aren't learning anything through it either. Lots of people in top 100 for solo queue across all datacenters already openly do this where they try to "game the queues" where they'll only queue (or stop queueing) if they think that have a good shot at getting the better team.

I mean, how many of you would queue solo queue if you knew there were only 2 people healing and you were going to be matched with a terrible healer? Same concept in teams really. The only way to fix it is if you DON'T know who you're going to get which in the way things currently are is pretty uncommon.

Ok, but my point is that the team who refuses to play does not DESERVE to be above better teams. It is a fault of the system, not the players, but that is a clear issue.

I completely agree that they don't deserve it, but the way this system is set up, without having a large enough diversity of teams in queue no one really deserves the ranking they currently have on the party leader boards, and that goes for everyone.

I can't agree. There are teams out there that are undefeated by anyone on their data center (aka: the best) but are lower in points because other teams actively avoid them and will refuse to face them, while arranging games with teams less skilled than them to farm points to bring them to the top.

Even if your team is undefeated, the pool of teams is too shallow and the number of matches too low to draw any meaningful conclusions.
