People are told to stop dpsing because they're putting the expected minimum before the requirement. But I'll think of them much more highly than non-dpsing healers because at least they're trying.

EDIT: I looked at your character and you're... a SCH main?? Their entire gimmick is that they can put out a lot of DPS. You're wasting a huge chunk of your class's potential. Seriously that's worse than playing AST and not drawing cards.
Healers are hardly in short supply. 9/10 people I've seen with 1 level 60, also has at least one 60 healer. So that argument is moot. Nice try though.
