Hell even if I was ok with buying this kind of stuff I'd never spend my dollar on something so half baked. If your going to charge the going price for a decent video game you can offer a bit more than re textured art can't you?

Like I said earlier at least I'm not concerned that they are spending too much time making these cash grab items. I prefer it this way than them actually spending time to craft something actually worth 30 bucks.

    does it warrant it? no
will it be there? most likely yes.
do you think WoW doesn't have exp boosts as well?
does it have insta 100 now? yes
    see the trend?

Going from 1-90 takes about that same span of time as well. So uhmm... what part of that makes the instant 100 a big deal? With a game that you can just solo quest all the way to max level.

As for this game, do you really think the leveling process is mandatory at this point? At least for people who already leveled to max on one job, that is. You don't really learn a whole lot while you level, and if you have the drive to learn, you'd do it anyway regardless of taking the slow approach or jumping ahead. Do we magically not have bad players now or something? Those guys were forced to group up too to get to the HW areas. While I don't really see a point to having the instant boost option here, I'm not so ignorant as to just automatically state it'll be the destruction of the game, which is exactly what it seems you're implying. Correct me if I'm wrong about that. We are talking about a game that lets you level up solo, aren't we? One that even in groups, lets you be carried too. Maybe if this game were very strict about its leveling process, the argument against an instant boost would have significant merit, but where we are now... it's just pointless defense.
is the in game advantage significant? probably not. Though getting to end game faster does give you more of an advantage.
You're only seeing the leveling progress while ignoring what it causes for end game.
How much of a difference 3-4 hours gives you. That's like an extra day or two of savage practice.
Or are you gonna say that it doesn't matter because it doesn't impact the majority?

I'm done. We obviously have our own way of thinking and will never agree on where the game should go.
If the cons of the game outweighs the pros I'll just quit like I did WoW XD

I literally addressed those concerns in that second paragraph. So... oh well to interpretation?

Good for you on being willing to quit if you don't like the game as it is. That is literally what everyone should do if they're unhappy with something. I am 100% serious on that. If it does come to that, and you do go through with it, then much respect for you on it. It's a logical standard that most people fail to go through with. Assuming you see this anyway.

I understand the principle behind not paying additional for content in a subscription-based game.

Cognizant of the fact that subscription rates (FFXI, WoW as reference) aren't all that different 12 to 14 years later, I also understand a business' need to supplement revenue.

The reality we all face is that $1 back in 2002 / 2004 bought a lot more than $1 today. I'm not sure if the FF team is paid 2002 wages or their contractors or suppliers charge 2002 rates. I'd like to think it's safe to say they're probably closer to 2016 wages and rates.

With that perspective, personally I'm okay to pay subs at 2002 rates and for *some* aesthetics to be placed in a cash shop. Those that can / "must" afford to buy the items help supplement the revenue to run the game. I'm grateful for that.

Perhaps, I would *like* it to be like the 2000s? But I realise it's 2016.

On a side note for what it's worth: Generally speaking, I don't think insulting people who disagree with you is an effective way to sway people to your side. We'd just have to agree to disagree; and accept we can't always get what we want.

Feel free to have a look at my post history or check out some of the threads I've made with suggestions for the game. Most of them many people agreed with, most of those people probably aren't here today. Back in the 1.0 days you could actually get a real discussion going without someone telling you to leave the game or give them a like it or lump it attitude.

The "Complaining" variety is subjective of course so maybe all of them to you?
