I understand the principle behind not paying additional for content in a subscription-based game.

Cognizant of the fact that subscription rates (FFXI, WoW as reference) aren't all that different 12 to 14 years later, I also understand a business' need to supplement revenue.

The reality we all face is that $1 back in 2002 / 2004 bought a lot more than $1 today. I'm not sure if the FF team is paid 2002 wages or their contractors or suppliers charge 2002 rates. I'd like to think it's safe to say they're probably closer to 2016 wages and rates.

With that perspective, personally I'm okay to pay subs at 2002 rates and for *some* aesthetics to be placed in a cash shop. Those that can / "must" afford to buy the items help supplement the revenue to run the game. I'm grateful for that.

Perhaps, I would *like* it to be like the 2000s? But I realise it's 2016.

On a side note for what it's worth: Generally speaking, I don't think insulting people who disagree with you is an effective way to sway people to your side. We'd just have to agree to disagree; and accept we can't always get what we want.
