Fat Moogle Mount on Mogstation!

There is only 1 culprit for this situation in general, and that is US!!, the gamers, the ppl that buy.

If you go and play many other mmorpg and do the math of what you spend at the end of the month vs time spent playing game and do the same with that you have been spending so far to play FFXIV you might be surprised. I will not lie, when I first came to the game back in DEC/JAN, and saw how many products where actually in the mogstation I was very surprised seeing how few it had comparing again to a lot of other mmos.

Im not saying that I support the idea, but I understand why they are doing it, and to be honest quite surprised they havent done more in the past. What I hope is that there is a balance, that they continue to make players play the game for rewards and that this example is just something that they do occasionally. I dont mind if they do that.

As an example if you go and play SWTOR now, a game when at its beginning had some similarities to this one. It is marketed F2P, but really it isnt, if you want to fully experience the game you need a subscription like this one. And get this, the majority of content as in terms of what we call our glamour/mounts here, comes in packs that you have to buy with real money .. but get this you dont get to choose what you want, its rng based in a pack!!! (just an example)

I like the business model of this game and I hope it continues the same. If they put occasional glamour/mounts in the mogstation, I have no problem with that as long as the majority of all items have to be obtainable playing the game as it is presently.

I always thought the cash shop was a place for fun little items we can buy like this mount without having to do a 6 year grind. Why is this so hated when all that gets put in the cash shop is needless items you never need? Now 30 bucks is a bit high but other than that is it really that bad?

Because they should be obtainable in game as well.
If people don't wanna farm, fine, ad the CS as an ALTERNATIVE but we should be abble to still get thoses items, created with the money we all pay via the sub, in game.

See a ton of them on siren, they're obviously selling well. At least 3 in my FC have them already and I suspect others will have them soon enough.

They are also selling well on Jenova, the day it was released within an hour of the server being up there were 10 of them sitting in Idyllshire and I see them all over being used while I am fate grinding.

People are buying a lot of this mount.

My problem is this being a 2 person mount. I think you should get one and gift one even more so for $30.

My IRL wife and I are finally getting around to being bonded IG. What's the point if only one of us gets this mount.

The eternal bonding packages reward each person with the same things, so you'd both get the mount. It will be a two seater specifically designed for the wedding packages though, not the moogle mount.

I'll also add, just so that there's no mistakes later, you both will have to buy the same package. If one buys the $20 one, it's not possible for the other to just grab the $10 or free one to come out a little cheaper. You both need to purchase the same, or it will revert to the lowest price purchased.

It is the same with the recruit a friend mounts, only the person who recruited gets the golden feathers and the mount after 90 days of paid by the recruitee. The recruitee gets silver feathers and different items, no mount.

With the Eternal Bonding mount you both have to pay for the Gold or Platinum package to get the mount so you both are paying for the mount. They aren't going to give away a free one.

A 30$ mount which is unobtainable in-game. You pushed it a bit too far didn't you SE? As I see most people have no problem with this. Would you at least now stop calling the "limited resources" thing every time the community asks for something to be added in-game (like more char customization, more and better end game content etc etc)? If things keep up like this with the store I will have really hard time convince some of my friends that this game is not "P2W like" with a Subscription. Right in the moment they were playing a Korean B2P game with 30$ skin sets in stores and I was like lol and you play this? Guess it hit me boomerang with critical now.

Japan don't care about this mount nor the price. They aren't discussing it. They are currently discussing how boring fate grinding is however. (But they are saying how cute the minions and their movements are).
