I'm fine with the idea of more severely punishing Mentors who abandon an instance. It wouldn't bother me, because as a Mentor myself, I'm among the last to leave when a group falls apart. I've seen numerous Ex trials through to timeout - and even more, I've helped coach on to victory. (No success yet with Odin, though; that one's a newbie killer for sure.)

The prospect of removing or penalizing Mentors who use Vote Kick is a bit more iffy. While I agree that a Mentor should never kick someone for refusing to obey them, or for harassing the Mentor (yes, it's harassment, and therefore a valid reason to vote kick - but to a Mentor, such things should be as water off a duck, not even worth acknowledging) - but there are times when an individual should be removed from an instance for harassing the other members of the instance. If a Mentor witnesses someone abusing a newbie, or whatever, the Mentor should have the ability to vote kick the bully - particularly since the newbie might not even be familiar with the vote-kick mechanisms.

As for rewards, I do think that the mount was a bad idea, at least in the method it was implemented. I've known several "Mentors" who, completely without shame, admit that they only wear the crown in order to grind for the mount, and have little or no interest in helping others. The sooner they get their mount and put away their crown for good, the better. Admittedly, they're helping to keep the faceroll instances populated, so it's not ALL bad. The Daily Roulette Tomestone reward, I don't have an issue with. It's pretty small perk, and not one likely to attract bad Mentors.
