They had different colour keys for different rooms, had weapons and armour actually drop so killing mobs was exciting, and even used gathering and crafting classes such as setting fire to trees which blocked doors. This can easily be implemented into FF. They also had really fun puzzles and riddles to access rooms. All of those were optional though so nobody could complain about progression if they didn't have the levels.

Those are just a few examples to add some depth into the content.
Deep Dungeon will be expanded on the next patches. They already stated it.

personally, I LOVED IT. This is what I wanted Diadem to be. Now I want a version where everything is ABSOLUTE DARKNESS and you only have your weapon to light your path.
