    1. Pom items that affect the environment. Avoid traps by hugging the walls. There is no healer/smn to ress your ass so you got to be careful.
    2. Kill things to level up, kill things to unlock the portal to the next level. Avoid pulling deadly mob pairs (slimes, bees). Sneak past mobs when there are too many to kill.
    3. Get chests. They are vital to your progress when soloing (dps buff, defensive buff, clear debuff off of yourself, put a debuff on last boss, reduce enemy spawns).
    4. Efficient use of buffs. Figuring out the best path between mobs and finding the correct rooms.
    5. Choices between time-efficiency and getting levels and chests.
    6. There are circular floors where 4 rooms are connected to each other like a doughnut.

So, did you try it? What was your job and how far did you get? I went in as AST and got somewhere past floor 11 before dying. Going to try SCH tomorrow.

Buffs and debuffs and mobs and chests and levels are nothing new. When we say 'puzzles' we were hoping for things such as riddles or different keys to unlock gates or something that actually makes you think. Not 'hmm I either kill this mob or proceed'.

got to floor 20 before running out of time. There isn't much of a reason to do but to just do it. Getting silver chest will be a pain because there's no other reason to go in there if your not getting the aether gear maxed out. Your not getting bonus exp or anything. In fact your better off running with 4 people (obviously) and your not getting any different of an experience if your playing it safe. You'll always be avoiding unnecessary enemies, avoiding traps, buffing, and debuffing. Only reason I'm doing it so much is it makes for a more interesting way to lvl your classes and that 235 weapon we can get solidifying our aether stuff.

You're grasping at straws trying to make this seem like it's amazing content... And these reason really only apply to someone soloing which is not the majority of people playing.

They could have done so many things to make this completely random and interesting content. A tonberry chasing you on floor 33, then the next floor is a bomb that will explode in 5 minutes and wipe if you don't get to the next floor, etc.

Things like that could have made it challenging and interesting. But fighting the same mobs with traps here and there on EVERY SINGLE FLOOR is a lot cooler. And please don't bring up the floor enchantments. Most of them aren't even a hassle to deal with except the ability one.

SE just managed to hit a bottom of creativity.
This wasn't meant for people with everything at lvl 60 to have as their "current" content. This was made for anyone and everyone, new player, or old player. SE has stated that later floors in patches to come will be more challenging. This was implemented as a way of adding a new way to level your lower classes, while at the same time working towards a mount, and a flashly glow weapon that you might have in your hands and ready when you get that low level finally to level 60.

So please stop with this "Well this was the make it or break it for me" line of thinking. If you really thought that a .05 patch was going to be showered with tons of new challenging content, you are sorely mistaken.

I give it a 6/10, it's a fun and NEW system that while I coin it "Diadem Elevator" the RNG and traps make it interesting. And if you're playing with players on coms, it makes this more fun. But it is grindy, it is short, and feels like it hit a point where if it kept going it would of scratched my itch left from Diadem's Shell of a System. The story took something great, and wrapped it up all too soon, and now it feels like it won't really be story motivated or if it is, will be sort of thrown together.

What made Nyzul amazing, is that it wasn't JUST kill mobs. You had to know what the floor's rules were, and they were RNG. It could be that you kill a Super Beast leader mob, or you kill a family type of mobs (Aquans, Goblins, Qiqirin, etc.), than you had the mobs that you had to Identify as the chosen mob through checking (which could of been fixed by giving us a "glass Key Item" that we use to identify the mob to proceed to the next floor). Than you had lamps that REQUIRED coordination with other players.

There were many points in this mode that I told myself, "Man this could of been SO MUCH BETTER had they done *insert mechanic/device/rule here*". The limitations and buffs don't com up nearly enough, Pox is kind of a thing you might see once or never in all 1-50. Mob variation was cool per setting, and were it not for the traps it would of been just a "Diadem Elevator" but even the traps only push the needle so far.

For instance when you get a floor you are "Blind" on, why couldn't the whole room be dark and you can only see as far as your weapon would illuminate. That by far would of made for an interesting quirk. Make a room that is has the rule of being upside down, and your controls are in reverse. The point is there are so many little things that could of been done to the system to really give it that polish that made me not want to log off. But as all content in this game, I can do it once for the day, and call it a night, maybe pick it up for tomorrow, but if not, no sweat. I DON'T LIKE THAT. I want content that makes me crave it and not even want to log off outside of being a responsible adult. And the first thing I do when I login, is want to do this content.

Over all, it's a decent system, love to see the RNG, map variation was cool, Pomanders and traps were a great concept, but the story is weak at best, and eliminates a motivating factor all too soon; and the rules and floor restrictions are too soft and really don't change the game ENOUGH to be noticeable or memorable. Also the bosses are so stupid easy that the fact YoshiP is quoted at saying that this content would be challenging and not easily completed by every player, just comes off as laughable. If you can't 1-50 in 4-5 hours, you're honestly brain dead.

I stress this, SE STOP TRYING TO BE SO UNIQUE FROM 11! You've already accomplished looking and feeling slightly different, but the game modes from an archaic game are far superior with far less resources, than your own. PLEASE start pushing your game, rather than making it so hand holdy and being so ANYTHING can clear it. My group even go to the point where we had a Ninja Cheese some floors because of time, by stealthing and popping a chest and stealthing out, with out aggroing a mob (excluding the multi headed ghost things, true hearing it seems). And while it's cool to find out lil tricks like this, it's a bummer to see what this mode COULD BE from a game that is 10+ years OLDER than what we have now.

    followup 2

when they do that u should start with 1 week dont freaking pamper the players and keep giving them the stuff for free where we had to work so hard for i farmed my relic before nerf so others can catch up if u dont have the time to play thats too bad but then u dont get results relics are stuff of legend like only 10 poeple have in the server cause its so hard to get dont make it a grind fest ok a bit im ok with but this is borderline stupid everyone has one beats the sense of having one does it the raid weapons are what the relics shouldve been locked behind hard stuff and u actually NEED SKILL somthing 70% of the player base doesnt even have

that is all sorry i went a bit off topic there but this is bothering me for a long time now

For me, Deep Dungeon was a disappointment. I like the randomly generated concept but everything else sucks. There's a huge of BS and frustration required to undertake this dungeon. It's the high amounts of fake silver chests that are mimics or explosions which start to become aggravating when your gear is over 25 and can only get upgrades from floors that doesn't sync your gear. Not once have I seen my gear go up while it was synced. My second issue is that there's no way to select completed floor sets which is just plain stupid and makes leveling your gear that much more tedious. I get that SE wanted to make things hard to upgrade but they could of at least made it so we could of selected a completed floor set. Instead, you're forced to reset and repeat the same shit on the same floors getting the same silver chests that won't upgrade your gear until you reach a floor that matches your gear. I was excited for this dungeon when it was announced but now, not anymore. I'm over it.
