That was the primary issue that lead to sub loss.As denoted by them losing 50% of their subscribers only 3 months into the expansion? Cause you could hit level cap in a few hours to a couple days and see everything and have nothing left to do besides facebook garrisons in a week flat.
People complain about how empty and lifeless the world is in WoW. Cause every new player gets to skip that world to go right to the latest expac zone where they then get bored and leave the game within a week of playtime. If they stick around and make an alt they get to see the world for the first 15 levels, then they go sit in their faction city and run dungeons till they hit the level cap. Then they leave because there is nothing to do at level cap besides raid.
This will just destroy the already ruined house market as people can now skip to 50, do the really easy GC stuff and have another character primed and ready to buy a house when new wards are released/plots are relinquished.
I would be OK with it if it leveled the classes up to a certain level for the mandatory cross class abilities so level 30 to 35 at the most. Atleast all tanks would have provoke and awareness all healers and summoners would have swift cast and all physical dps would have blood for blood and invigorate.
And its also a serious problem here. There is a lack of content to do at level cap besides things connected to raiding. What helps pad the game out is the need to level certain classes up for specific cross-class skills needed for raiding.
Should we really replicate a problem that makes another problem even worse?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO *catches breath*
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......
*dies from lack of oxygen*
Doesn't affect me. Don't care.
Why would someone pay money to miss a ton of the game's content? That's like paying to go to a buffet, but then paying more not to eat most of the available food.
If current game trends continue, you'll be Lving it from 30-70 (With exp boost like they did when it came out, + Rest exp + FC Bonus + etc..) for the next expansion. Just like DRK/AST/MCH 30-60.. One picece of detail you haven't mentioned is that WoW has make multiple characters for multiple classes. So it would make some since I guess for it too be needed. But XIV, 1 character does EVERYTHING. There's really no need for Alt characters (which is why phantasia's are so popular sadly). However if your playing on multiple servers, then there lies a problem. And the only way I see a leveling potion being ok, (Outside of Alts) is that you have a well established main character that has reached Max Lv with 1 job reguardless of server. But even then.. Having the ability to lv all jobs to Max without fully understaning its capabilites is just a road just asking for a disaster.

Or skipping the meat and potatoes to get to the dessert.
I'm against this for all the reasons people said, but I was also surprised that the classes in 3.0 were locked behind Ishgard, which made no damn sense to me. I think that the next expansion should introduce 1-2 lower level zones (if it's Ala Mihgo, then open up the area north and east of East Shroud, for example) AND let players who are only level 10-15 on their starting class hop over, much like how ROG/NIN were done. Maybe with some starter NPCs that say, "You can go no further it is much too dangerous" who then tie you into the 4.0 storyline.
lol couldn't have said it better xD
Also I'm not sure anyone has noticed but August will this games 3rd Anniversary and we're pretty much still using the same systems as Launch, so there's little doubt that SE would actually attempt this. But I pray that they just dont!

To be honest, doing main story from 50 to 60 in HW was hella fun but also loved every cs etc. Once I got 60 it was all waiting game for alex to be released, do 2 extreme primals and that's it. I had more fun doign 50-60 things than actuall end game. There is so so much going on at end game in this game and there no real need to rush it.
