I really, really don't want FFXIV to turn into WoW. I left that game for a reason - multiple reasons, in fact. I have little doubt that I'm not alone in that regard.
Yes, I understand that feel about WoW! But there's people that didn't care about the Lore since lvl1 and skipped every single cutscene and text. That kind of player will always exist.

If they implement this here in FFXIV, it will be quite different than WoW because they'll only get one job boosted to lvl60(?), and the rest will be still lvl1. The only boost will be that they'll be able to play with old players as soon as they log into the new expansion, so they won't feel alone/bored grinding a content they don't really care about anyways, so for Square-Enix is a win-win because they get new players and they pay for the boost, and we should be happier if there are more players around because that means more content/quality, I don't want FFXIV to die!

Imagine being a new player at 4.0 and you want to play with your friends. You've gotta run by A LOT of content, taking you over a month if you play 40+ hours a week. In WoW it's easier because the Lore part is near unexistent, because Lore in WoW is just optional and you don't have to do long missions or watch long cutscenes.

On the other side, I can understand you being worried about the quality of the new boosted players, but I think FFXIV is quite different.
