    i will say atm a lvling potion isn't what is needed it's just the 2.1-2.55 questline to be made optional that is the only real sluggish part of the whole lvling process atm as you have to do it to get to heavensward.

    Leveling should never be able to be bought.

    Just remove the EXP bar all together if you're going to do this and make every single enemy max level.

    Because as someone who is currently forced to do the MSQ(See on the left I am Lv52, thats my main) it is making me respect the game, the whole dev team has the story writers respect too and I feel immersed and like I am genuinely playing an RPG not a WoW clone where non-RPG fans teleport to all the content and rarely speak.
    Jumping potions I would likely not use but then feel bad either way, like if I used them I will feel like I am missing content, if I didnt I would feel I am wasting time, it creates a dilemna.

    It also brings in a different crowd of people, you know.. I am not talking casuals thats fine but the whiney type who want things easy and should probably be playing a different genre as they cant appreciate a sense of achievement due to being time constrained.

    If players find the grind too long then SE should simply cut out some of the quests or make them optional. In my opinion players should never be able to buy levels.

    I agree that at this point, a leveling jump doesn't make much sense. They've already bumped quest experience and given multiple leveling methods such that reaching 60 is a couple of weeks of an exercise at worst.

    With the expansion coming, I'm all for removing the gates from HW and other content. I think the real draw to the proposed potion (a copy of what the chinese servers of the game have) is skipping into the expansion straight away anyway. Remove the gates and some of the draw to it goes away.

    Earlier it was brought up (apologies for not quoting you - the laziness is real) about having something like this as an option for alts. I hate to admit this...but the thought of that doesn't seem quite as terrible to me. The idea that you have to have done content up to point x to unlock it makes it not feel as bad to me.

    They should just replace the 2.1-2.55 quest line with a few enormous cut scenes that lead to the next dungeon.
    It took me two weeks, playing a lot, to get through those quests.

    Initially, I wanted the same. But MrHappy brought up a good point saying it would extremely expensive because they would have to rewrite and potentially re-voice act whole quests just so they make sense. It'd likely reach a point where a good portion of the expansion would be dedicated to fixing old content for new players. Hence what grudgingly had me come around to a jump potion. If it's a choice between that and focusing all their resources on content current players can enjoy versus limiting that due to altering ARR. I'll take the jump potion.

    Replace "Dungeons" with "Dungeons and Trials and Duties" in my statement.
    So each cut scene gets you to the next Duty or Duty Finder section without all of the fetch quests.

    I don't think they necessarily need to remove the story quests, but they definitely need to remove the obligatory component to it - especially for old content. Keep the quests for people who want to do them, but don't make it a requirement to do them so as to unlock everything.

    Suddenly, people can level at a pace they want, however they want - be it through quests, dungeons/trials, fates, etc - and they aren't locked out of new content like new jobs.
