    Give Tanks Tank Stance at Level 15

    I personally haven't had any issues with this but people new to tanking with a new character are in a tough spot without tank stance, especially if the dps outgear them. Just swap it with the ranged pull ability in the class quests next patch. The other two roles have an easy start in dungeons, so why are new tanks screwed over by overgeared dps in low level dungeons?

    Ranged pull is far too useful to not have, so that should remain right where it is.
    But really, low-level tanking isn't that hard. Sure, some overgeared dps or healers will draw aggro from you if they go all out even if you do everything right as a tank, but if they can do that they can also survive handling that mob all by themselves.
    As long as everybody survives it doesn't really matter if the tank loses aggro a few times in the early dungeons.

    it matters for the tank. it's no fun to be unable to do your job, especially if you just started with tanking and that's the only experience you ever made as a tank. a new tank should have fun while tanking and the early lvls should be kind of easy. a new tank should be motivated instead of frustrated.

    I agree with this. There will be unavoidable frustrations in lower level dungeons such as the random DPS who always feels they need to fight mob A while everyone else is fighting mob B and then dies from it... blaming the tank. SE has given us some tools to avoid it but when you have to push excessive amounts of buttons to accomplish something simple, it's tedious and not fun.

    If you do things semi-properly, level sync will take care of the strength disparity. I agree that giving PLDs Shield Oath at 40 is far too late, but even as an early GLA it's not that hard to keep aggro as long as everyone follows target markings and you do a regular aggro combo.

    Wait. So you're saying that having to be actively engaged in the game and aware of your surroundings, managing the enemies on a more involved level isn't fun? And that they should be able to do everything while doing far less and putting in less effort? Yup, we definitely have different ideas of fun.

    It's fine how it is. They shouldn't make it easier. Easier does not always equal more fun. If they want to play a Tank, fantastic, then they can learn how to Tank properly. Sometimes things in the game aren't a cakewalk. Best they learn than become a crappy player.

    Nobody said anything along those lines. The concept is called "continuous improvement." They're speaking of a concept that causes some people issues. Not everyone plays this game 23 hours a day (but says the only play 1-2 and have a full time job, family, etc...).

    I'm admittedly a little torn on this issue:
    Currently a new GLD can hold threat by:
    * Ensuring their gear is up to date (which has been made easier with the brand-new gearset)
    * and Spamming flash.

    If they fail to hold threat for some reason, such as not knowing 1 of the above things, the mechanical penalty is incredibly small and the duty is likely to be completed regardless.

    Would it be better to add tank stance, or add things like, a MSQ objective/reward prior to sastasha that will ensure up to date gear?

    Would it be better to lower the skill ceiling of spamming flash by allowing tank stance to make it more effective, or add better tooltips that show that the emnity generation of flash -> flash is superior to fast blade -> savage blade?

    No, low level tanks just need to buy vendor gear and actually read their skills.

    If they're already doing this, then what?
