Why isn't housing priced higher? (why is housing random luck)

Having enough opportunities to find people to play with and not feeling like I'm in a ghost town is more important than having a house (To me anyway) Like I said, I can always buy a house off of someone else once I get enough gil, because really, what else am I going to do with all of it?

Then why are you here in a thread where people are gripping about housing? You just said yourself its not important to you, You traded one thing for another. and what is your idea of Frequent? daily? no, weekly? yes.
