Who thinks it would have been a whole lot better if personal and fc housing were separated.

That's where your wrong, On Zalera a lot of the major FC's host Hide and Seek competitions open to the public for prizes. Cosplay contests, fishing contests. ect ect. Community hunting linkshells, you name it. A Server is what you make of it. We don't need a big server to mooch off what others provide. As your post implies. We provided it for each other. So in the end, enjoy your rat race for housing. Your wide scale homeless is a server issue you picked.![]()
EVERY server has hunting linkshells. I'm sure your server holds events (Like ALL servers do) but I bet they aren't as populated or frequent as Balmung or Gilgamesh. What's your population? What's your raid scene like? Are there enough opportunities for the raiders to find like minded people? And why are you saying that people on my server are mooching? We all provide things just like you do. Having enough opportunities to find people to play with and not feeling like I'm in a ghost town is more important than having a house (To me anyway) Like I said, I can always buy a house off of someone else once I get enough gil, because really, what else am I going to do with all of it?That's where your wrong, On Zalera a lot of the major FC's host Hide and Seek competitions open to the public for prizes. Honestly, I agree with you saying that people shouldn't be huddled up on a couple of servers, but right now, there is no incentive to play a low population server rather than a largely populated one. Well actually there is ONE but that's housing plots, and as the community has proven for years, having more opportunities to play with people is more important to them than housing. That's why I'm saying the community of the game and SE needs to come up with ways to entice players to play on low populations servers, and maybe fill them up. Housing and free transfers aren't enough.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/FFXIVZalera/ We advertise events all the time here, FC Fury, Alive, Demon, Oath and several others all host events as well, that are open to the public. If you browse that FB group, you'll also find that a foot race across Zalera event, jus ended, with several Zu whistles, and primal minions being the prizes. Chantel is always advertising for events along with Zeromus of Alive. As far as raiding goes, Zalera is a social server. Most raid groups on Zalera are tight knit groups who bring in outsides where they need to fill a open spot, or are seeking extras for when someone cant show. As far as statics, ppl are forming them every other day. we have plenty of people who have cleared up to A6s, and I believe FC Meow,is currenty working on getting A7s on farm.
Then why are you here in a thread where people are gripping about housing? You just said yourself its not important to you, You traded one thing for another. and what is your idea of Frequent? daily? no, weekly? yes.Having enough opportunities to find people to play with and not feeling like I'm in a ghost town is more important than having a house (To me anyway) Like I said, I can always buy a house off of someone else once I get enough gil, because really, what else am I going to do with all of it?
I'm here to tell people why I think others don't want to give up everything they have and move to a low pop server where there is next to nothing for them just so they can get a housing plot like some people here are suggesting they should do.

The player is to blame, its not a broke system, your the one foolish enough to have either, joined or moved to a over populated server. Once again its a you problem, not an S.E problem. Ignorance of your servers lack of resources isn't a defense. Good try tho.Like merging low population servers that get an unfair amount of resources per subs. Or even better if a server can not maintain a certain amount of paying subs, the housing wards on that server should be shuttered. Since they are unable to generate the revenue as a server such as Gilgamesh or Balmung.
I felt stupid for typing this. I hope you felt the same typing your ridiculous answer that reinforces the broken system and blames the player.
And im telling you that's your choice to live with. Not S.E's. Other Servers offer exactly what you asked for, just with lower population.
Your wrong on that accord to, I belong to 2 roleplaying linkshells that are maxed out. But I'm done argueing with someone who is entitled to "instant gratification" oh woe is thou who has housing issues, needs events handed to them, and doesn't like to seek out roleplay but find it openly. Case in point, a you and your choices problem, not S.E's.
