Unless the team gets more people and resources to make new races AND redesign gear to accommodate them, keep dreaming.

I never got that argument. Aren't these races the same from 11? What about the hundreds of cameos of enemies, allies and such that appear in FFXIV?Well Bangaa for instant aren't possible because they're from Ivalice - totally different world but I don't think you'd ever see non humanoid races i.e. best tribes beccause they'd have to rework literally every piece of equipment and even the most determined company wouldn't do that
I hooope.

The difference between the enemies and allies and general NPCs that appear is with non humanoid versions you don't have to make every gearset you release fit them. The more different the playable models are the more work and time it takes to adapt new pieces of gear to fit them. If your talking about major physical differences it can take as much time as making a new piece of gear from scratch, including in the concept stage. Non humanoid NPCs have pretty limited gearsets. Most Amalj'aa or Goblins you see will look mostly the same.
Its not saying its impossible but the time it takes to modify the armour that much means they either need more people working on it, we get less new gear models over all or it takes longer to release content. The second two options are going to be very unpopular among most of the playerbase. That means until their team grows to a larger size its unlikely to happen. As of now they pretty much squeeze as much work out of the existing team as they can.

Well wouldn't the only thing that really needs to be modified is like headgear and maybe footwear? A lot of these races have humanoid torsos, arms, etc.

It depends and the footwear would certainly have to have new models. Depending on the leg shape the leggings too. If we used the Bangaa as an example probably only the arms would work. You have to remember that a different shaped leg means an entirely different shaped model in game.
Even if it was just the head gear and the foot wear, that's a lot. Your adding 2 unique models to every gear set released for every class. If we take 3.2 as an example you have Midas gear, the crafted sets, and the lore gear (I'm ignoring glamour options in this). Midas has 4 different head/foot models (I think), crafting also has 4 and lore as 4. That's a total of 24 new gear models assuming only the feet and head need changing. Considering a single set of gear is 5 pieces, you can see for just one race that's a additional models.
I'm not saying its not doable. Im just saying its a lot of additional work. Frankly if they do something I imagine it will be closer to something like maybe the Ronso. Something that has a similar body shape for the most part to existing races.
But not all of them have the same kind of build. Bangaas, for example, have a snout and an oddly shaped head. That alone would be a nightmare for the dev team to modify all the headgear, especially with helms. Simply "just" modifying headgear and footwear as you put it is not as simple as you make it sound due to the reasons many of us have said.

I'm quoting this to share some info I think a lot of people might be over looking or are just using the word in the wrong contect. Humanoid just means a shape that resembles a human in structure. If everyone is asking for less humanoid for a new race/tribe SE would have to resort to designs like dogs or birds, or something else. Right now every race/tribe in the game, except for dragons are humanoid, since their shape resembles a human. What people seem to really want is a less humanlike race and a more anthropomorphic one.
Just throwing this little tidbit out there, since all of the races/pictures of possible races shown/mentioned, bangaa, burmacian, ronso, amalj'aa, goblin, etc, are actually humanoid.
The only true non-humanoid playable character in the whole final fantasy series was RedXIII.
I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

The Miqo'te in FF 11 are different to the FF14 counter parts. FF 11 Miqo'te was more cat like when it comes to their body's ears, face, arms, feet and so forth.
