I'd prefer they take the time for developing a new race and use it for something else. Want to know what I'd really like to see? Even though it will probably never happen, unique combat stances and combat animations for each race. That is one of my favorite things about XI and WoW and it serves to make each race actually feel visually different from each other.

Like some people pointed out, I'd like to see more customization to what we already have. I'd rather to see "Viera" being introduced as a third Miqo'te clan along with third clans for every existing race than adding a bunny race that will either be Elezen with ears, or Miqo'te re-skin. Unless SE works on a whole new race with features that slightly resembles Viera aka bunny ears, the body-type setup that's "typical" for a Viera to have is skimpy female Elezen with modified hands and foot.

Plus even if it's a human variation race (like every race in the game) I'd rather to see something new and exclusive to XIV instead of way more references and tributes to other titles of the fanchise.

But honestly:

- More hairstyles for both genders
- Unlocked hairstyles for every race
- Eyebrows for highlanders
- Muscle slider for every race AND gender
- More face option for every race
- Different ear shapes for Miqo'te to have (that might as well introduce "Viera" as a third clan)
- Au Ra horns not attached to the face
- Being able to choose your emote list on character creator with gender and racial emotes unlocked, so you can truly make a shy, or grumpy, or lively character as you please
- Combat sample of your voice as an option on the Voice tab


All of the above, at least to me, it's way more important and appealing than playing as a bunny or anything else, to be honest, because I know that if SE introduces a new race it'll have the same "limitations" our current ones have.

Cute sells. I do think SE dropped the ball with Au Ra females. Not in popularity, but in originality. At the same time though, you can't blame them. Miqo'te and Hyur dominated FF before Au Ra. Now it's Miqo'te, Au Ra and Hyur because they're all a cutesy race. I would kill for females to look scarier and closer to demons, but I feel as if the race would have a severe popularity plummet if they looked anything like their concept art. I'm hoping the next race is unique and SE just doesn't care about the popularity contest for cuteness. Not saying that that's why Au Ra look the way they do, but it's why they're so popular.
Also...before people come in and say "MY Au Ra/Miqo/Hyur isn't cute", this is generalized. I know there are some unique ones out there, I swear.

I personally wouldn't change to Viera but I would like the variety. Some concept they did made them look really unique to me, small but not as small as Lalafell and animal features but not a direct Lala/Miqo

Agreed. I think it would be ok, if they add Viera (only female) and this werewolf-race (only male) to the game.

To be honest, I would also appreciate to have more options for Au Ras. I love the demonish look on early concepts and I would like to have the options to add some more details like claws or stuff.
