You have 4 people, tank, 2 dps and 1 healer. If 1 tank does 600-800, healer does 600- 1 dps does 1.400 and last dps does 300. Who got carried?
So how many times have you presented this argument in this thread already? You've more than made your views known. Stop already please. I've run 5,074 instanced dungeons on my main alone without a parser. Your pushing of this gets really old. I haven't needed one, don't want one, and don't buy this argument. I'm not opposed to a personal parser and have made my views known on that issue but the last thing this game needs is people running around in general content with their parser open.
People stay out of threads like this because of people like you who will incessantly try and squash any dissent. And then we have those who make the snide comments that those who don't want one have to suck.

I have my views and opinions, much as you have your own. Doesn't we share the same one. I asked you a question, because you mentioned people saying people gets carried for not doing a decent amount of effort. There is a big difference of being lazy and decent, no? I respect your choice of not wanting a parser, even how annoying your comment was towards me, my statement still remains. I respect your choice still, because you have one.
Putting words in peoples mouth is just as old. I'm not a thread monitor and never said I was. What is really old is people argue with themselves rather than with others. Sticking words up in peoples mouth and call them trash isn't excactly better. I'm fully aware of what I'm saying, even countless of times, because people seem to ignore what we say. Many in here never said it's fine to harras people because a parser could be allowed, but yet many use that arguement againt's us. That my friend, is old.
Also a personal parser would be cool too, but how do people know that's good or not. I mean in therms of performances? I guess people could always ask the other people in group how they are doing so they can somewhat compare to the others.
I dont mind your post at all, so don't think its aimed directly towards you. So you know hehe.

How do people know what gear is BIZ for Savage or Crafting or what the optimal melds should be? They go to a website to check and see what is recommended or what the community is doing or discuss it among their friends. http://www.ffxivguild.com/ffxiv-blac...me-gear-guide/ That could easily be the case for those wanting to compare personal dps numbers. It also provides them the opportunity to try and improve on their numbers if they so wish.
Gear, rotatation and skill of the player are different things. It's nice to have a BiS page, so you know what you should get or not. What I mean is, what if this person with personal parser see he do 900 on his BLM 230, while the one who has ilvl 220 does 1.300. How can he know he's good or not?
For those who care enough to use these -hypothetical- community numbers.Gear, rotatation and skill of the player are different things. It's nice to have a BiS page, so you know what you should get or not. What I mean is, what if this person with personal parser see he do 900 on his BLM 230, while the one who has ilvl 220 does 1.300. How can he know he's good or not?
Website:
Black Mage:
High Score - 1600 DPS
Average Score - 1100 DPS
Low Score - 500 DPS
Anyone who cares enough could see where they fit in on that scale and elect to try and better their performance if they so desired. I suppose ratings for gear types could also be included as a part of the overall data system. I'm not into website construction but there is a wealth of information on the internet for Final Fantasy from Mining, to Fishing, to Gear and so on. This could simply be another resource.
Edit: Optimal or suggested dps rotations per class could also be a part of a resource like this giving ways to try and improve upon what damage a particular person is doing.

Ah I didn't see those just the BiS gear setup, yeah that's good! See, 5 min ago, you totally hated me, now you can have a discussion with me. But yeah, things like that would been great to use if a personal parser was coming out, so they have those # to compare themselves with I guess.![]()
