The entire point of FF14, is that it's an homage to ALL FF GAMES, It's a FF MMO, that takes popular stuff from every other FF title

Big difference between homage and recycling
Crystal Tower is a homage, XI, XII and XIII enemies are obviously recycled to cut down on cost and are you implying that they recycle because some things are popular with people? Those generic snake enemies from XII are a real hoot with Final Fantasy fans aren't they? And regardless if you recognize an enemy or not is just moving the goal post saying it's okay to do it as long as people don't recognize them.

I am fully aware that XIV is a fan service game btw which is why I think it's weird that people choose a game made for fans as their first FF but that's for another topic.
