One iteration of BLU allowed it to learn skills through taking damage, and they did have access to heavy armor. Imagine using Raven's Decent, Doom, ?? Lv magic, Bad Breath, etc..
Also who's to say dragoon won't get "Lancet"? We might not even get BLU.

RDM is what I would think to be the ultimate solo class being able to heal them selves and deal damage. Which kinda sounds like what tanks are suppose to do. Although their appearance might seem like they can't tank i can see your point.

I main DRK and it is the Parry/Dodge/Anti Magic tank and if you can't see how similar it's kit is to SAM I'm actually curious how you expect it to bring something different.

Samurai can tank but it's niche been taken, people need to learn to deal with it and let go of XI.

I agree with you,too much people still have XI in mind and thinks XIV should be exactly the same. Like the thing about DRK using Scythes, when on ALL FF where Dark Knight appear they used swords, XI is the only one in which they use Scythes. But I read in a lot of sites people complaining that DRK doesn't use Scythes.

Well. I cannot think on a way how Samurai can be. Could be some kind of parry/dodge tank based on counter-attacks (I do not consider DRK as parry tank, cause is on 1 parry skill and 1 counter). Also a tank that can put bleed DoTs and debilitation debuffs. They can even create a full set of moves depeding on stance. Tank Stance uses 2 hand katana and have determined skill combos, mainly aggro combo. DPS stance, he get a second Katana and fight dual sword, having acces to a different kind of DPS combos. Making him somekind of Dancing stance Tank, more than others tanks. Who knows.

Probably SE will find a way, they always did.

I am not demaning Samurai tank, It is just my wish, but some of the post I read here seems like they demand is DPS or is shit.

Is it Samurai Tank? Good, that's What I like, I switch my main to Samurai liek I wanted since 2.0. Is it Samurai is DPS? Well, no problem, I just keep DRK and change my second class form ninja to Samurai. Nothing happends, no one died. Some people take it too personally here. But I was very upset some saying that tanks are boring and it is a waste use the good clases on them. As tank I find it very offensive.

I've seen (and took part in) many complaints about FFXIV's DRK, and let me tell you, none of them have been precisely about them not using scythes. Also, FF Explorers.

I know, It was a example. The major compalin is not being DPS or not being exatly like the "sacrifice" class who uses his Hp to enhaced damage, or how his tanking is. Things like that.
