    i have said group, not raid, i means content hard and challenging for group of 4 player, the trouble with FF14 it's you jump from group of 4 to full group 8 without transition.
    the normal mode don't help to make people wanting to partake into it... and diadem didn't hit the nail too.

    FF11 endgame was 18-man boss fights and had slightly less subscribers than ff14 has..... so not sure why organizing 8 ppl is unreasonable.

    Normal mode does the opposite of making people want to participate in raiding, it gives out all the incentives of raiding w/o ever having to touch a raid.... So it's not surprising to me that it is hard to find people that want to raid now.

    The significant difference is that FFXI endgame wasn't really 18-man boss fights. You could take up to 18 people, but you could easily beat almost everything with significantly fewer people.

    Imagine Savage fights being tuned exactly as they are now, but being able to take anywhere between 8 and 20 people, and that's what FFXI endgame was like.
