Totally agree. I have used it less than a handful of times. I don't even know where it is on my bar off the top of my head because I use it so infrequently, I would have to go look for it which totally negates the purpose of using it in a pinch. Its not worth losing the fairy. I would rather risk having swiftcast on CD and do emergency tactics + swiftcast + adlo or emergency tactics + swiftcast +succor if I need an "oh shit" heal and I'm out of aether stacks.

I think that Dissipation is amazing as I've said, but if I could change one thing about it to increase its synergy with Aetherflow, I would increase ability potency (with Sacred Soil/Bane as the exceptions since they do not have a direct potency.) Yes, Free or Instant Resummon would be amazing, but thats just asking for too much for a skill that can save your party on demand in many cases. Increasing ability potency, but keeping the punishment, will give Scholars an edge with the skill, but won't overpower it or branch away from its original intention.

    Dissipation:
Orders your pet away while granting you a full Aetherflow stack. Also increases healing magic potency by 20% for 30s (PvP 45s).
Summon or Summon II cannot be executed while under the effect of Dissipation.
Additional Affect: While under the effect of Dissipation select abilities have increased Potency by 20%.
    Lustrate: 720
    Indomitability: 480
Energy Drain: 180 (This will not affect MP recovered.)

I think this would make the skill shine for what its supposed to do.

As long as the list of cons are several times longer than the pros I can never but this ability in a good light there are a few places 'I gone oh hey perfect use for dissipate' outside of those handful of situations. Outside of those it's simply useless at best and possibly detriment in a worst cases if nothing else goes wrong (as a healer, being screwed over by your own cd is the best feeling ever).

As for changes I would mostly keep it as is but change the following from:

Orders your pet away while granting you a full Aetherflow stack. Also increases healing magic potency by 20%.
Summon or Summon II cannot be executed while under the effect of Dissipation.
    Duration: 30s (PvP 45s)
    to:

Orders your pet away while granting you a full Aetherflow stack. Also increases healing magic potency by 20%.
While under the effect of Dissipation, MP cost and cast time of Summon and Summon II reduced by 50%. Effect ends upon use of Summon or Summon II.
    Duration: 30s (PvP 45s)

    Accomplishes 3 things

    - Reduces the ability's MP sink.
    - Removes being locked-in the status for 30s.
    - Makes not having SC available or not negligible.

I think it Just needs to return the fairy at the end of the effect, and that's all. ( maybe we could get also a 20% buff for offensive skills as well, not only healing ones.)

Lol 30 second raging strikes. Other classes would riot. xD I'd love it, but energy drain would be a good start.

If I had a 20% potency buff to both healing and offensive skill with Dissipation since the 3.0 I would have probably used it a lot, but I don't think it wolded be overpowered anyway, take in consideration that WAR has a 50% damage buff and the PLD if I'm not wrong a +30%, basically because they are not a DPS class, and also those buff has an all way shorter recast time than Dissipation.

Also I wonder, if there was a +20% on offensive magics too, as lustrate and indimitability are not affected by it because they aren't magicks but "skills", Energy drain woudn't be affected too?
(Just a theoric question, I'm not asking for implementing it even if I would enjoy it xD)

The only time this skill is really any good in my opinion is for a dps boost through energy drains on SCH as long as you can trust and rely on your co-healer to be able to solo-heal without your fairy

I still say Dissipate should be the Scholar version of Enkindle. Eos could provide a nice AoE heal and Selene a massive shield maybe. Something to make it feel worthwhile.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.
