Fey Illumination->Dissipate -> Aldo CRIT to produce 12k+ shield. Especially if you can roll that over into a Deployment tactics. I know this is in no way reliable but seeing a whole bunch of "0s" all over the place for damage just feels so good.

I've also found it useful on a couple occasions when shit just really hits the fan and I just need more instant healing or else.

It's not an amazingly powerful too by any stretch but it's got it's uses. However the Scholar toolkit is otherwise so deep and flexible I find it hard to get too worked up about having 1 or two corner case abilities.
