Dissipate overpowered?

Well yes and no. I think this is mostly a bug that lustrate and indom' aren't affected ( even tho they seem to be considered differently as the others skills, because they ain't concerned about the silence, for ex.)
But yeah some dps boost by that would give a better use of dissipate

It's been confirmed to be like that by design. Why dps abilities are affected by dps buffs, but healer abilities are not affected by healing buffs is beyond me. xD

The only time this skill is really any good in my opinion is for a dps boost through energy drains on SCH as long as you can trust and rely on your co-healer to be able to solo-heal without your fairy

I still say Dissipate should be the Scholar version of Enkindle. Eos could provide a nice AoE heal and Selene a massive shield maybe. Something to make it feel worthwhile.

Talking about Selene, i'd love to remove her silence skill for a little DoT, which would be more useful. But this isn't the subject !

I like to use it in combination with a warrior tank, in defiance, with convalescence, a mantra, fey illumination, and dissipation. Then, I spam adlo on the warrior to fish for a crit. On fights like thordan or sephirot for example, when the boss has a massive aoe at a phase change, (especially with enough time to squeeze 5-6 casts to prep for it), I can fish for a 10k or 11k adlo crit on that warrior, and then share it to the entire party with deployment tactics to give everyone a 20k+ galvanize to completely negate the attack.

Its almost always overkill, but its highly entertaining, so I enjoy it.

something like that would be cool..
