Couple of things for the tips in the opening post. I'm sure veteran monks already know these but it isn't veterans I expect to be reading that, so...

Midas 1 - If you know your healer you can stay on the boss until the end of his cast bar and still make the puddle if it's triggered late enough into the animation. Finish on a stack refresh and transform back after 2 punches to keep stacks. Heavy damage so have an agreeable healer, but you can survive anything at this level.

Sephirot Ex - Feel free to burn PB for damage in phase 3 as the only time you should need it for stacks is the start of the phase. No mechanic should make you drop stacks if done right.

Thordan Ex - Remember to charge chakra every time you have to perform mechanics, again, nothing in last phase should require you to blow your stacks.

Such as getting hit by boost, it should not be part of the mechanic to get hit, but i agree if you do have a healer willing to do that its possible. Remember this guide is too help you maximise dps while doing proper mechanics, although I don't say it, that's the way i've always think while doing this guide. And as you say this guide is mainly directed to new monks and being new monks I don't want to teach them to ignore mechanics as such when they get to higher level raids, they will fail. Midas normal is a raid which teaches you some of the mechanics for savage. Don't want to teach them bad habits

Thanks To be fair I mentioned more than once that your healer should be in on it, but it is a massive dps increase on the first boost. On the second you'll probably have pb back so I would rather just Tornado Kick.

As long as you don't get hit by any more dumb stuff though you can survive the unavoidable damage with 2 stacks.
