Lol was making a joke, I could not car less what comp the world first groups go with.
The reason its a big deal on my server is static recruitment suddenly changed from: "Static looking for Drg or Nin for Savage progression" to "Static looking for Drg, Nin, or Mnk for Savage progression."
Doubt you would wanna run with people who just worship whatever combination some world first group uses. It's cool to try and mimic a mechanic or build they do to make your group better. But to change your group completely or replace members because some other group cleared the content that way is laughable.
Elysium would have downed A8s whether they switched that Monk to a different melee or not.
Of course this kind of conduct would frowned upon. But unfortunately when Gordias Savage dropped in 3.05, it encouraged this kind of behavior. A1S Faust broke up a lot statics during the first few weeks. Players were forced drop jobs like Paladins because of their low DPS output and physical defensive CDs were useless because many raid bosses primarily dished out Magical Damage. Statics began theorycrafting the most optimal raid composition in order to get the highest possible Raid DPS numbers to the beat the extremely tight DPS checks. I know the devs said that Midas Savage would easier, but the damage had already been done. A lot of raiders have gone into Midas Savage with the same mindset of Gordias Savage of sticking only to certain jobs.
And indeed they haven't. The clear rate of A4S by total active players reported 2 months ago was 0.77% according to reddit.

small update on the Sephirot EX video.
I'm currently running into some problems with TP... Thanks Skill speed
I'm gonna try doing some calculations, but I'm not the best on those things, so was wondering if any of you guys have any tips on how to maybe get the most damage out of you TP without a NIN and without having the MCH (in my case) using that turret, which I'd imagine would reduce the party DPS a lot more than me making some changes.
Fracture is the TP drainer, but on top of all other problems with SS, the more you have, the worse the dot clipping gets, so Fracture becomes even more important...
Couple of things for the tips in the opening post. I'm sure veteran monks already know these but it isn't veterans I expect to be reading that, so...
Midas 1 - If you know your healer you can stay on the boss until the end of his cast bar and still make the puddle if it's triggered late enough into the animation. Finish on a stack refresh and transform back after 2 punches to keep stacks. Heavy damage so have an agreeable healer, but you can survive anything at this level.
Sephirot Ex - Feel free to burn PB for damage in phase 3 as the only time you should need it for stacks is the start of the phase. No mechanic should make you drop stacks if done right.
Thordan Ex - Remember to charge chakra every time you have to perform mechanics, again, nothing in last phase should require you to blow your stacks.
The highest potency per TP rotation is the one where you refresh ToD right after it falls off (so, 14 GCDs of the I-II-III and ToD). There's also the option of using less ToD, which uses less TP but it's actually less potency per TP--if you don't use ToD at all, about 3.5% less potency per second! i shiggy diggyI'm currently running into some problems with TP... Thanks Skill speed

I'll have to scratch something out to see whether it's *actually* worth it, but I feel that SSS dummies are really tuned for you to use ToD. I think you should drop a Forbidden Chakra for Purification if it comes down to that, which should carry you to the second Invigorate until around 700 SS. Probably not worth dropping Forbidden Chakra just for Fracture, though, since that's a more marginal increase.
