    Couple things, Bob.

    1. Once you get enough gear (I recommend you start by purchasing the item level 115 tank set off the market board when you hit 50) you're not going to mark very often. It's just something that people don't need to do outside of raids. Your threat rockets with gear progression, so don't worry if people hit 2 instead of 1 while you're tanking, because very soon, it won't matter anymore.

    2. Don't hesitate to quit a group that's pissing you off. You pay a sub fee just like everyone else; just because you happen to play a clutch role for group content doesn't mean you're required to put up with someone's edge lord crap just because they had to wait longer in queue. You have no onus towards anyone to be their whipping boy. Hell, I quit groups just because someone won't stop spacebar jumping. F*** THEM, IT'S ANNOYING.

    Just my two cents.

As far as I know that is the highest iLevel in the vanilla game. So I am not gonna do that. Because then there is nothing left to do... I don't have the addon and I don't want to be decked out in like 10 minutes.

Then be ready to fight for hate, as your hate control is heavily reliant on your gear. More so in earlier levels, but you're beyond that point.

But I doubt you're going to be "decked out" even in 10 minutes when you get the add on.

Yeah, well I don't have it right now and won't have it for a while and I don't wanna run out of content in 2 weeks or so.

Okay thanks, but I really just wanna do dungeons and earn the armor instead of just buying it.

    Sometimes, you just have to.

I've learned that when you keep your gear at your level, it makes running content so much easier. It don't sound like much on paper, but having Lv54 gear in a Lv57 dungeon can be felt.

To be fair, he's talking about lvl 50 gear in lvl 50 dungeons. Given that he atleast has ilvl 90 going up against, at most, ilvl 130 (and I believe all dungeons go to ilvl 110 right now for the 50 ones.) he should be fine enough. I also believe the MSQ now gives better gear at certain points even in ARR?

    Two things:
Only the earliest dungeons (the ones that drop 55-70 gear) are ilvl synced to 110. Everything else is 130.
90 gear isn't anything for threat control, especially with respect to tank weapons. You're talking about a 40 ilvl deficit, on top of the fact that any DPS with 130 gear has probably run the content often enough to do it while napping, and they just want their poetics so they can go back to Idyllshire.

Unless you're skipping the cut scenes and playing all day you're not going to run out of content in 2 weeks, assuming you're not just talking about MSQs.

As for your second point, you can do it like that but it's a pretty shallow view. As with the gear you buy, unless someone has just handed you the gil, you've put time (earning) that and thus have earned the armor that's up for grabs on the market board and or npcs, there is a reason why vendors exists. But it's cool if you're gimping yourself because you feel the need to mindlessly grind dungeons for gear you're going to replace soon any how. -- To each their own.
