My happiness of shuffle aside, I don't quite get why they reduced enmity. Were astros really having enmity problems? I can't recall one time I ever pulled something off of a tank.

It... happens. I've had a Diurnal AST pull Thordan's enmity from me as MT, which is something not even the WAR or the BLM could do. It happened mostly because the AST kept making hate after Thordan left at the end of phase 1, but still... I for one think they weren't mandatory but a very nice and welcome change. Also, ASTs needed to "foresee" their enmity gain, unlike WHMs who can be like "oh sh*t" and just pop Shroud and be 100% fine.

Yeah, when I started learning this as AST I was often blinking orange to red on the enmity list by the time Thordan came back after Ultimate End. It doesn't matter much because he hits like a wet noodle and you can easily take a couple of hits if the MT is slow with provoke, but on a fight like progresion T9 back then... It would have been a wipe.It... happens. I've had a Diurnal AST pull Thordan's enmity from me as MT, which is something not even the WAR or the BLM could do. It just doesn't mesh very well with some of the encounter design so something had to be done, really.
If he cleaved right after coming back... lmao enjoy your AST induced genocide. It still sucks for positionals and the like, though. The first time it happened it caught everyone by surprise and no one was sure what exactly was happening XD I thought at first the OT had finally pulled hate, but then we saw our AST comfortably getting slapped in the face like "ARE YOU PROVOKING NOW?" it all made sense. Tbh that was the moment I realized ASTs really did need those enmity changes Yoshi P had been talking about. I've run the fight with tons of different WHMs and never had that problem before unless the WHM loved to overheal with Medica II and didn't know what Shroud was.Yeah, when I started learning this as AST I was often blinking orange to red on the enmity list by the time Thordan came back after Ultimate End.
