Why are low standards for dps acceptable?

You literally said that doing more damage is optional. It isn't...you're a DPS when you sign up for a duty you do as much damage as you can. That is impossible using a 50 rotation. Your logic is completely flawed.

How would you feel if I as a healer just wanted to afk behind the tank and let my fairy heal? Obviously any sane person would have a problem with it.

Anyone who actually uses your logic in a duty with other people is indeed rude, bad and lazy. "lets not try to do as much damage as I can, let the other people carry me..."

I really wouldn't have a problem with it as long as your fairy didn't let us die.

Odett I meant that as sarcasm. "Wow and I thought I was doing bad" Yeah, that's not to say I'm doing good but more to the effect of holy hell these other people must REALLY be bad if I'm this bad and still doing better.


It may be worth noting that I am a casual player. If you ever do get paired with me in a duty I think you will find despite my defending of casuals and "lazy" players you might actually be pleasantly surprised with my performance when I'm trying. And I usually do try my best.

Edit: 800 dps is only being carried if everyone else is doing significantly more then you. If everyone else is doing less then you are in fact carrying them with 800 dps. And I really dislike this whole notion of carrying. The term just doesn't sit well with me. By your logic if someone is doing 1,000 dps and I'm doing 950 I'm being carried. This is so false. Different people playing different classes, some with higher ilevels then others, all contributing. Just because someone is doing 100 less dps then everyone else doesn't mean they are getting carried. Truly being carried is laying dead on the floor contributing nothing while everyone else clears the content.
