As for 2.0 being a new game: I, for one, could take my leveling progress and even achievements with me. Well, if I had had any. So even if you want 2.0 to be considered a new game, it would be one that greatly diminishes your accomplishment of leveling up and as such, according to you, there should have been a backlash from most people playing at the time.
