Often I'll just stop healing people if they're even remotely a dick to me. Naturally, I give DPS a considerably lower priority on my healing list. If a DPS dies, whatever. The tank is more important, as they prevent me from spamming heals. Chances are, I'm going to do what I can to fill in their place anyway. In something like Fractal or Neverreap, I'm often not healing at all (besides sustaining Regen and Medica II). I'll also abuse the DPS who think they're high-and-mighty, as seems to be common with DRGs and BLMs.. especially BLMs.

Rule 1 of RPG's: Don't piss off your healer. They'll eat your soul.

I'm not being paid to be there, so I'll gladly stop providing a service to someone who I don't think deserves it.

My confession, i said something mean to a dps i guess, and ... got votekicked for it.

Well we were doing Sunken Temple of Qarn, i was keeping stoneskin up on everyone, calling out bees on the doom boss, really working hard to keep everyone topped off and happy. The only discussions before this event was Hi at the very start. We had finished the second boss off, and were working on the next trash pack, when i notice the bard is just standing there, and standing there... and standing there. I say "<bestbardever> please help dps..." well, no response and we kill off that pack of 4 mobs... then <bestbardever> comes back... and i say "Gee I wish i could afk for entire packs of trash mobs..." So a little snarky, a little jokey, but... suddenly... swish loading screen, back in Mor Dohna. Yep, i got votekicked for that. Queued up again, insta requeue, got Stone Vigil and cleared it just fine.

After a string of annoying Void Ark Machinists that refuse to stand on the same side of the arena as the rest of the group, I've fallen back to my old rule of:
If the entire party is in 1/3 of the arena and you're in far third, I'm not going run over to your lazy butt to give you a cure, because you can show some situational awareness, too.

After a string of annoying Void Ark Machinists that refuse to stand on the same side of the arena as the rest of the group, I've fallen back to my old rule of:

If you're too dumb to stack with your party, you deserve to die miserably, alone, on the other side of the arena...

Before vote kick, df up a wp run. Ended up with an atrocious tank. Was a dick to me, then started on the dps there. We make it to the last boss, they all run in and start fighting while I was just chilling at the entrance. I finally step back to the out side, the tank, with his dropping hp comes running back my way. Just as he gets to the entrance, the lock out goes up. He's locked in I'm locked out. The obscenities he threw my way, man. He raged quit, I apologize to the dps, who didn't mind. Got a replacement, pretty much right away.

In the end, I felt accomplished.

So void ark...I tell new dps countless times not to stand in front of the stupid boss when he throws up >_> well no one listened to me so the boss turns and proceeds to throw up I make a side eye face IRL and proceed not to heal nor raise the dead dps who were making me and the other healer OOM....until some asked why only the healers and tank was alive in alliance B lol *kanye shrug* listen to your healer folks or you might not get healed lol

First post! My worst healing flub up was this one...

Main SCH, got AST to 60 quickly afterward and jumped into "end game" stuff since they shared gear. DF party wiped on A4 and I was the last one standing. The calls of HEALER LB3 rang out. I twiddle my thumbs and die shortly after. Tank says "Wtf do you not have LB on your hotbar or something?"

Nope. Totally forgot to add it while leveling.

Next attempt same thing happens. I LB3 then promptly die to avoidable AOE because I was watching the beautiful AST limit break. I mean, have you SEEN it?!

Group vote abandoned afterwards. Whoops!

Long story short, i went into prae, let a rushing tank die by waiting behind when he wouldnt wait for a new player/other healer and let a mob strike justice for me ;p saved the other tank so no one else died, but people waited after that.
I may have killed a tank and maimed a speed run for vets but hopefully made it a better experience for a new player who wasnt given a chance. From the start.
(Also, the same tank killed us all at the very start, so hes no saint, either =.=)

Hah, since it came up in another discussion already, I'm gonna be honest here:
I confess I have not re-read any of my tooltips on WHM since the end of 1.x! Which is why I still think the skills work the same, even when they don't xD
And I don't even know why, because I did on all other classes. I guess because healing is so mind-numbingly easy in most content that I never felt the need to, in comparison to other classes where I needed to understand new combos and stuff like that °-°
