i get so frustrated with bad tanks at level 41+ dungeons... you expect me to know how to freaking heal you by now, i expect not to be heal tanking, or frantically healing dps and me and you because you have no idea how to keep aggro... Last nights Stone Vigil for Roulette... the tank literally ping ponged around the rooms catching every patrol and extra pack with nary a sorry or concern for my mana, when every pull is a heroic healing effort just to win that fight, and then eventually comes the pull when you fail... its so exhausting... i give groups like this 3 wipes then i am gone.

I'm so used to doing expert roulettes with mostly premades that, if the random df party is going too slow, I may pull. And then cry when killing the large pull takes forever and the tank is almost dead most of the time and I can't dps.

MMO Career healer here, since shaman in EQ1 around 2003, safe to say its my best role in any RPG, also good at the mythical unicorn role of FFXIV the OFF-tank, ok at MT But im no CD rotation/enmity super-hero, but i pick up adds damn fast. Suck at dps... Like hard... I do oh shit CDs not its up use its...

Anywho back on topic, anyone who knows me knows i subscribe to the belief that healers are the greatest PKers (player killers) in any game since they can do it wheter theres pvp content or not. I kill A LOT of dps who think their the person in charge of pulls, side note i do it as a tank too... I tank what i intentionally pull or know patrols into aggro range.

General rule of thumb if dps sits there eating aoe I willl not turn off cleric stance and instead I will throw a regen on them that ticks for 88 hp. They start to move magically.

Well a dead dps does 0 damage. A dps that has 88 hp will still be doing damage and frantically dodging everything.

I intentionally don't dispel the pacify debuff on undergeared, speedrunning Warriors in the vain hope they'll get the subtle hint.

A real confession now:

While I tend to fervently argue about healer DPS, not being our responsability to heal pets and esuning Pacification from Warriors, I actually do these 3 things more often than not. I always find myself spamming Holy on my runs, and to be completely honest I DPS more than most healers I play with (though I tend to not DPS on DF Alexander 3 and 4, because I never know what to expect from the party); I also cast Cure 3's and Regens to help healing Ifrit-egis, and even a focused Cure if needed; and to hell with me if I don't take that Pacification off before it hits 3 seconds timer.

I may sound as an hypocrite by arguing on threads against these things and actually doing them, but I don't want to have the added responsability to do them, nor do I want the playerbase to become even more toxic and begin to require these things from newbies and healers in-training.

I also don't think I'm a good healer, far beyond me, I actually think I'm kind of a mediocre healer (I didn't had the guts to enter Savage yet, because I'm afraid of commiting mistakes and as a social anxious person, the feeling of screwing up while in a pre-formed party scares the hell out of me), but I'm always trying to learn, to see other people's playstyle and change mine to better accomodate my skills and grow.

If anyone bothers me, I let their health reach sub 5% so i can watch the fear in their eyes as their life is fleeting before them.

Then I use my emergency button.

I like this idea. I am leveling WHM and am doing The Aery. I will remember this!! Thank you for the great suggestion! >:-)
