Not trying to prove anything, just to show that people should really consider that a new patch has just dropped and unfortunately queue times can get very long, and they must take into consideration several factors instead of just jumping on the "it's broken" bandwagon. A case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Data centres could very well be a factor, scrolling through the thread I see a lot of the people are from Chaos servers such as Moogle.
However, upon further scrolling, I can also see there's maybe 20 posts of people stating "I've been queuing for X minutes, the queue is broken." Several of the posts here are just stating it's broken because they can't see the numbers, which is just a display error, so we can eliminate those posts. >20 people having a long queue time doesn't exactly represent the player base. Maybe, just maybe, you're having bad luck with queues?! I mean, despite what people say, SE are very quick to be transparent with known issues and how they're looking into them (recently 11th November as an example), and they've stated here the DF isn't broken :3
I think that people are so used to healers and tank having such fast queues they're just having a bit of a shock to the system, and the fact they can't see the numbers in some cases is causing them to believe it's a DF problem.
Your theory falls to pieces when you look at what time I posted. I waited over an hour for a queue (after several shorter ~20 min waits) as a WHM, starting at 9pm PST, until after 11 PST. 9pm PST is the start of the decline of "peak time" and 11pm PST is definitely not considered peak time anymore. Since I usually play at this time, I am quite familiar with normal queue times, both before and after a patch. This. Is. Broken.
I don't really understand what your saying here. I've been playing since the beta and every other patch I would get into the roulette or the single dungeon in under 5 minutes as a healer no matter if it was 4 hours,a day, a week or a month after the update in or out of peak times. As a DPS I would get wait times over 30 minutes but never for new dungeons. So do tell me what is the peak time and off time for Excalibur because I get over an hour wait time in roulette at 5am,11am,3pm,8pm,11pm and so on yet I go in NOT as a new player but without the roulette I join within 5 minutes and everyone in the party has already done the dungeon because we don't get the bonus.Queues are generally longer after a patch... It might seem like they would be faster because there are more people playing, but they are actually longer - especially for tanks and healers, because each queue only requires one of those and there are simply too many people playing.
