Yup, I was prepared for that. You can't take the heat, so you resort to ad hominem attacks and ignoring my points.

Oh there's plenty of motivation. I suppose you seem to think that motivation is some sort of universal truth among everyone. What one person finds motivating can be simply irrelevant to another.
Clearly you've made some nice projections as to how this game may be after 1.19, and you are not fond of it. Provided you have such clarity as to what motivates you, why don't you have the resolve to so simply move on?
Oh, wait. If someone doesn't agree with you they must be wrong, a bad player, and/or unworthy of an opinion.
Get over yourself.
I've got no respect for people who resort to bringing up the character ranks they see in others when they have no legitimate response. It simply speaks nothing good for them:
- Troll
- Believe people who haven't played as much as them cannot possibly have anything good/productive to say
- Attempt to evade points which they cannot address
You did this repeatedly in your own thread Visch. It got locked.

Thing is, their motivation isn't "I log on and do this raid, get this gear 3 months later it's now worthless because I have to do this next raid for something even better".
People like that, clearly or else all MMOs wouldn't be moving towards this bad system. So you're right, it's not universal, but it's also to be accepted there are people who clearly disapprove of systems like that. It's always good to strive for better gear and whatnot, but not while having your previous accomplishments thrown in the garbage in the process.
I repeat: where is it even implied, without quite a stretch of imagination, that gear introduced by new content will make the previous content's gear garbage/useless/obsolete?Thing is, their motivation isn't "I log on and do this raid, get this gear 3 months later it's now worthless because I have to do this next raid for something even better".

We've been getting patches of content for rank 50 players for months now. New content still hasn't 100% taken over gear from old content. Yoshi didn't say that would be the case for the future either. Where are people getting this idea that that's going to happen?
And? What is the motivation? To not be good at the game and enjoy it?
PLEASE tell me ANY reason to try to be the 1st to beat new content? To waste time and effort because everyone is just going to get it easier later?
Aren't you so cute trying to be condescending with your blue text.
So you're going to try and act like your personal attacks and justified and mine aren't?
You think it's right that someone who doesn't play the game to throw around their opinion over stuff they have no idea about to someone who does?
That's like going to another country and voting in their election.
Yeah because of people like you crying.
It doesn't mater if the gear can still be viably used. It's not even worth the effort to obtain it UNTIL the content is nerffed.I repeat: where is it even implied, without quite a stretch of imagination, that gear introduced by new content will make the previous content's gear garbage/useless/obsolete?
