Let's baby feed everyone and change their diapers! Everything has to be super easy so everyone can get it without ANY effort so no one (you guys) will cry someone has something they don't!
That's racist.
Anyhow, I'm pretty sure they are Not gonna do gears good for like 3 months. With this materia system gear seems to last longer than ever anyway (talking about craftable gear) and well, all the gear obtained from dungeons with a remarkable difference in levels (Toto-Rak -> Dzemael Darkhold = 20 levels of difference) is gonna be obsolete, but say that we are going to get three R20 Dungeons, the three may drop three different weapons of the same type that have a little something better than the other one. Either way, it's gear you'll throw away or sell when you hit like R30.
Same goes to R50 gear, I bet in the future there will be high-end dungeons with different drops one with something better than another.
Also, I think you guys hate Visch just because he punches ponies.
The hardcore players get it first. They get it before anyone else. All the casuals gaze upon them in towns as they flaunt their brand new shiny gear only hours to a day after content release, and fill with aspirations of obtaining such gear themselves... eventually.
3 Months later Yoshi adds a new carrot on a stick for hardcore players to foam in the mouth trying to get, while casuals by then have an easier time getting the previous set.
Hardcore players are being rewarded by always being a step ahead. Casuals are not being punished by not being able to get gear ever because they don't spend massive amounts of time on a game.
I don't see a problem.
Also, anyone that is still going on about gear becoming obsolete every 3 months is reaching new levels of ignorance. New content = new gear =/= better gear. Variety is good. Alpine War Jacket is the newest of the new. I still prefer my Buccaneer's Shirt on PGL.
Yoshi-P clearly acknowledged he wants to address player uniqueness and how everyone looks the same with all the same gear. Making new content always have better gear would be quite counter-productive to that don't you think?

Let's make the game harder than pulling teeth! Everything has to be super hard in order to cater to elitists with too much time on their hands, because they judge their self worth based on literally fake assets and if their fake fairy items in a fake fairy world aren't rarer than the fake fairy items of the common casual plebeians, they'll cry.
Maybe, maybe not, I was being sarcastic anyway =D
I don't think these kids even know what communism is. They'd probably think it would sound great.
How about we give people what they work for? How about that huh? Can't do something someone else can? Does it upset you someone might have an item you don't? Will you cry in real life and quit the game?Let's make the game harder than pulling teeth! Oh wait you don't even play the game anyway. Guess you won't.
And so what is the point in playing the game then? To be the same as everyone else and not have to work for gear? That doesn't seem to sound too fun unless you're bad at the game. The hardcore players get it first. They get it before anyone else. If this were to come true it would be time for me to quit the game.
FFXI did it right - we had content that lasted years (not that everything should last years, but a year would be nice at least >.>), and many different things to do. I need long term goals.. Long term things to work towards.
In XI (before Abyssea took over), I could log on every day and always have something to work towards/do.
On XIV if things are just basically replaced every 3 months I'd have no motivation to do anything. If I did go and finish the new content... well, then what? End subscription for 3 months? lol
Not to mention, always jumping into new areas/instances(?) I'll forget about the old ones fast. I have lasting memories from Dynamis and Limbus and such of years worth of content - years worth of adventures with people. If I'm doing something new every 3 months and then never going back to said content, I'm not likely to remember much of it. :<
I dunno, just doesn't sound like a good idea for them (and doesn't sound very fun). They'd be getting either less or no money of mine. I wonder how much they'd lose from others.

No, I literally don't give a s*** about items, as I've said numerous times. Maybe you should take a moment to read what I say, instead of having a s*** fit and foaming at the mouth every time someone disagrees with your position. I care about having fresh content and people to do it with, not about competing against some people who don't even know I'm competing against them.
You, judging by the terminal case of butthurt I'm seeing, are basing your self worth on the rarity of the items that you have compared to other people in the game. You don't actually care about difficult content or a challenge or anything of the sort; if you did, you'd be glad that the devs are coming up with challenging content in a timely manner. You're literally mad because some people might get a chance to get the same items you have, after that content has already gone stale.
The fact that you read my post and this is what you had to say in response amuses me.
It's a game people pay for. Not the American Dream. Let's not as for changes that satisfy your epeen, but rather make the game enjoyable for more people.
