Did i ever say you need to wipe endless times? if you really wipe that many times maybe look at your own skills and not everyone's around you :P when there is a wipe its mostly because ppl have no clue NA how to act or play as a team. Plan stuff out ask how many pulls ppl want ask if everyone know what to do and if some ppl don't let them know how to do the run. And if you say that's not your job then your not a team player your the prob and if there are players not trying or doing as they are told then yes they are the prob. 90% of my runs go well because i talk i make jokes and i try to enjoy myself. So far after reading what you said you may just be part of that big problem

My point is that it doesn't work. If you had a community blacklist the community would dwindle from a number of reasons caused by it. You also took what I said completely out of context; I was making a real life correlation on how public shaming does not work from any sort of societal standpoint and i'll leave it at that ok PC bro.

He's not wrong. To be honest, its about time someone said it. He made some brilliant points about the difference in PUG content on NA and JP servers, its a night and day difference.

Unfortunately, it won't ever change. Its not like you can change an entire culture or community of people overnight.

infact around 2004-2008 in ff11 people helped new players all the time, if they saw a new player they would welcome them and ask if they needed help, maybe give them a bit of starter gil. Infact i recall the first person i met in ff11 who helped me this was in 2004. a good 11 years ago. Things ONLY became this way with WoW and youtube.

Also, there more to job irl then corperate, and I know for a fact several types of coperate jobs to hold workshops, but alot of trade jobs do apprenticeship. Who do you think life works? someone more experienced teaches you. I wasn't disaggreing what kendo said, i just hated how they presented it which was infact immature.

To respond to the litany of personal attacks real quick: I do fine.

To the rest of your stuff: savage actually requires competency. You need to know your rotation and the strats to be competent, which is all the person was saying until you saw the word "work" and triggered. If you don't know your rotation or the strats, then you'll wipe, and drag everyone in your group with you. Since you're still saying stuff like "how many pulls you want" you don't seem to have grasped that we're talking about savage, not dungeons.

Yes and No. The real topic is what methods can the NA community use to improve itself. Obviously what works in a specific culture may not work in another and that seems to be the case here. The main thing were looking for is where the bulk of the problem is; is it within the community, is it possible that it is a design flaw caused by SE, or both? The most important thing to take away from this is we're going to go in circles until the thread collapses like a dying star.

Hmm, I mean the NA/EU community can pull this off, but ..../sigh it just like w/ the JP community, the honesty isn't there. I would like to join learning parties for Alex Savage, yet at the same time the PF in balmung, sometimes I don't even know what they really want. Want clears, but don't be specific on how much knowledge you know or learning parties, but demanding something that they know that they just gonna disband. I do understand that if they make the requirements more specific, how far you or the recruiter progressed, how much they know on the mechanics, how much exp you are on the job you play, etc. yet, it's sad to say, it's not gonna end anytime soon, the mentality of wanting to do what the JP community does.

The problem is we have way WAY too many players that have the "it's just a game, who cares" or "YOLO" mind set and just don't want to put forth the effort truly learning the fight, the way their job should play, or even take the time to gear their job properly and I'm not talking BiS. During my many BisEX PF attempts to clear it, a BLM was using a MND ring just to make the iLv reqs.

So if someone's lazy we should call them what? The line between blunt and rude is a fine one, but it exists; if you're being lazy or bad I'm not gonna feel bad for describing you accurately. Or do lazy people just not exist?

Again, this is a topic about savage. Not dungeons. I don't care if you wanna spam freeze in a dungeon. I'll roll my eyes and go on with my life. But if you try that in savage you're wasting everyone's time, including your own.
