    And we've already said that military deployments are the one major exception SE didn't take into consideration with the 45 day rule, since soldiers deployed overseas often literally can't log in.

    You don't invest in the most valuable and rare ressource in the game which you knew would have some kind of prune system to it one day or the other if you know that you can leave the game anytime for several months.

    If you want a house under these conditions, you join an active FC with an estate which will let you be afk for these periods of time.

    Individual housing is very much a luxury, and that luxury isn't for everyone.
