The options are limited for PS3/4 players. To log on with a PC, they would have to buy the game just to install it and use it. Additionally, your friend with a PC can't log onto your account if you play on PS3/4, without you still buying that PC copy. It really isn't as easy as people think it is to log on from multiple devices to this game, which limits options.

There are still possibilities, just not as many as may normally be open in a typical MMO.

This is very true, however, everyone still can't have their own personal house, so the chances of this are extremely slim. I'm pretty sure a "My ps4 busted and they are taking forever to get it fixed and I don't want to lose my house." Might be a good time to call Square support and let them know what is up. Who knows ... maybe they could help with that.

I still stand firm that most people are not out of the game that long.

Don't get me wrong I think there is definitely some issues with the housing thing... and I think some things could be done better.
