DPS is just a weird role in general...
Yes there are some bads out there but by no means is the role a walk in the park especially in end game content, you press the wrong button then bam your dps is off by a ton.
Now there does need to be some accountability for our own actions which a lot of ppl rather not take out of pure embarrassment, and yes a lot of the problem is no one says anything unless there is a wipe or it's taking 5 mins a pull.
IMO I usually don't call the other dps out unless I have played that job specification which is mostly all except MCH I leave them alone, but I correct other bad dps jobs often I get bad attitudes all the time but it's for the greater good in the long run...getting corrected is what fixed me so it can fix others after so many times, key word corrected not called out, always have a solution to the issue.
Anyone who thinks the tanks role ends with holding aggro
or the healer's role ends with keeping people alive, are in no place to judge poor geared / performing dps.
Pot calling kettle black.
Most of the population is under performing and don't find out until their group falls apart trying to do as3.
It's an MMO
Make friends with people near your skill level and time allowances and do things together.
Solved.
Duty / Party finder are mainly for drinking games and seeing how much a few people can carry a whole group.
I do agree with you that tanks roles don't end at holding aggro and that healers role doesn't end at healing. Both roles need to do DPS as much as possible while the tanks need to properly use their cds to do so, while healers need to know when damage is incoming and DPS based around that, so that the tank doesn't die when their in Clerics stance.Anyone who thinks the tanks role ends with holding aggro
or the healer's role ends with keeping people alive, are in no place to judge poor geared / performing dps.

I used that attitude of a tank doesn't tank and a healer doesn't heal just because it shows the attitude of the general population, not my attitude.
And that isn't always the best answer Staris, we cannot rely on friends to help us with everything, as they have stuff they want to be doing, so we sort of have to rely on the random element if people want to go to a farm group for example.
No problem with drinking games and carrying, as long as the group can see that you are doing it and decide for themselves if you should stay in the group.
Now for your role comparison... Every person should be well geared for the content they are doing. It happened to me many times that I thought how much I suck at healing, while tank/dps were undergeared and as the result I had problems to heal and keep my mana flowing.
I would be interested to hear from you how would you rate all the roles. How many % of healers job is to heal and how many % of tank's job is to keep enmity. Also let's say that dps can do 1000 dps. How much dps is their equivalent to tanks that only keep enmity and healers who only heal. Basically how much effort should dps player put in to match the other roles.

I've seen it many times and it irritates the shit out of me.
-People bragging because they have cleared content via overgearing..............
-DPS scrutinizing healers dps numbers when they fail to reach the avg expected of the job
-The idea ilvl is needed to clear content
Nothing wrong with someone bad letting someone else know they are bad as well.I've seen it many times and it irritates the shit out of me.

So what if you have 4 bad players together you just don't say anything and keep making the same mistakes?
Unless you get blamed for failed dps check as healer. ^^
Of course it depends on the way it is said. If you point it out in polite manner then that's okay, but when your sentence starts with "ffs healer do some deeps..." than yeah. That's really hypocritic.
Your post makes no sense in relation to what I said, but i'll answer you.
Glass houses and stones.
However if you are hitting enrages, not meeting certain checks yes by all means post the numbers. It's natural to troubleshoot issues.
Healers can contribute dps when necessary, but by no means should they be a tool to make up the difference to due actual DPS slacking.
Sadly this is one of the first things you learn to do as healer. Then we carry bad dps players through the game and dpsing is turned into "win/fail" button.
