Can we please have two weapon chests from the last boss in 2.x leveling dungeons?

From my own personal experiences.. it's incredibly rare to actually be able to USE the right weapon for your class/job from the ARR leveling dungeons. I've been trying to farm the weapon for my DRK to use before I get to the level required for it, and it's got a worse drop rate for me than almost any of the Zodiac dungeun drops did when it was current.. (Took me 50-some odd Brayflox HM runs to get that drop, everything else was <20 runs.)

I'm currently up to 25 runs for Stone Vigil (normal), and I've yet to see any weapon drop for him. Two MCH drops, three AST drops, 5 PLD drops, 2 ACN book drops, 2 WAR drops, 2 ROG drops.. the rest I forget, but yea.. it's pretty insane. If I were to go into that dungeon on my DRK at level, and continuously run the dungeon trying to get that one drop, I would be well into my 50's by the time I get my hands on it. It took me ~15 or so runs to get the one from Sunken Temple for him. With 12 different classes, that's more reasonable (though judging from my drops in SV, I might've gotten incredibly lucky and that's why I'm suffering now; I've used up all my good luck for the month.)

Based off of those statistics, I believe that there are some some astronomically low odds to let new players actually use the correct weapon for their preferred job, if they were to try to rely on the last boss's single chest for it. Doubling the chests for the final boss, giving players twice the odds at getting their job's weapon, would be a lot easier than changing the loot system to be 'smart' :\

I also feel I should mention, that my attempts at farming my DRK a weapon from SV INCLUDES trying to get the Aetherial weapon. I have not had the Aetherial Mythril Zweihander drop at all either, let alone with desirable stats

If the intent is that these weapons should be rarer than the Zodiac weapons, then that would be nice to know beforehand..

But more seriously, just think of those weapons as a bonus. You can get comparable stuff from vendors all the way to cap. You don't need to be farming them.

You can get some really good weapons from the Grand Company vendors for a few thousand seals which should hold you over until level 50. Trying to farm dungeon weapons is time you could spend leveling past said weapons!

Shouldn't you be able to pick up one of the soldiery weapons that is better than those by long ago. Also you could just buy one of the 115 crafted ones from the MB or vendor.

I really don't get why you are farming these in between weapons.

At 25 SV runs you would have been at level 50 had you done it with your DRK.

If the reason you want it is for actually playing with it, don't bother farming it. If you're really lacking on weapon stats, ask someone to craft you a hq weapon of correct level. As of the moment, crafting any pre 50 stuff for level 60 crafters is easy enough and most of the time, costs peanuts. Yes, crafted hq doesn't have as good stats as pink one without melding, what then, you'll use it for abiut 5 levels at most before you need new one.

All the replies in here so far just help show how bad the drop rate is for these things :P Everybody basically saying "Don't bother, too hard, there are better alternatives later on that are much easier to get" just prove my original point: the astronomically low odds at which a new player could actually expect to use the weapon drops from a dungeon for their class.

That part was meant to be incredibly sarcastic :P I know I don't *need* to be farming them, but I liked the look of the weapon. I gave up on farming it shortly after I made my post (another great design decision btw SE, make your customers give up when trying for something D: )

It took me an average of ~10 minutes (with some afking thrown in sometimes) to do an SV run. If I'd done it on my DRK it would've taken a lot longer for each run. Though as you say, I would've likely been at level 50 by the time I gave up on it.. More proof that it's a great design to make the right weapon so rare for players D: There are better alternatives for it at a higher level, but that wouldn't help a random new player who wanted that weapon.

Yes, I realize this :\ Any weapon I get will be replaced fairly quickly. In the end, I liked the actual graphic of the weapon and had been planning on glamouring it onto the replacements, but I gave up on that. I'll just get the similar looking one from PvP (which I found from http://www.garlandtools.org/db/#item/10438 via the 'shared models' function) even though its a slightly different color..

For glamouria purposes, yes, the weapons do look rather nice. I have this far leveled 5 classes past stone vigil and currently sit on about 8 of the weapons.. or maybe 9. But that was not done on the cost of time out from leveling, after all, for glamour purpose it doesn't much matter when and on what class it drops.

If its purely for glamours, the stone vigil weapons share cosmetics with wolves den (first tier I believe) weapons and some of the HW vendor gear

If you just need glamour, just unsync and solo it on a lv 60.
