Don't you just love it how "more hp = less dmg taken" by so many healers with the shared mentality of "I'm healer not dps". Do you see "Increase defence by 20%" or "reduce damage taken by 20%" on fending accessories? No you don't. The defence values are same. And as far as I know the game, vitality only increases the amount of HP you have, full fending accessories let's you get 2-3 more hits be for you hit 0hp. But then again, you need 2-3 more heals cast to get from 1% hp back to 100% hp since heals don't work as percentages of target's max hp.
For the record, I rather heal a tank that uses mitigation cooldowns but has only i170 left side and all slaying accessories than full i200 with fending accessories but uses 0 mitigation skills.
To get back to the topic OP set for the thread: if you won't go do all the latest endgame content, there's no real need to dps as a healer other than few minutes faster dungeon runs.
